Drake is a true floor general with a high IQ, sharp instincts, and a fierce will to compete. Playing on the top-ranked 1A team in Tennessee, he made a strong statement with his super-efficient, high-impact play in limited minutes. Drake brings calm control and fiery energy in the same breath, executing the offense like a coach, breaking defenders down with sick, crafty handles, and consistently finding ways to create paint touches that open up scoring chances for his teammates and himself. He rains threes at a high clip, rarely turns the ball over, and brings relentless pressure on defense with active hands and anticipation. What separates Drake from others is his pure love for doing the dirty work. He led the team in charge, taken as a freshman, and never backed down from a challenge. Coaches know exactly what they’re getting every time he’s on the court: leadership, efficiency, and fearless impact.

In just 12 minutes per game, Drake averaged 3.9 points while shooting 40% from three (25 makes), dropping 33 dimes to just 10 turnovers, and racked up 25 steals and 46 rebounds. Those numbers jump off the page given his role as a backup point guard whole speaking loudly and clear about how productive he’ll be with more floor time. His biggest improvement has been his assist-to-turnover ratio and knockdown shooting, and his offseason focus is locked in on becoming even more elusive with the ball and raising his shooting percentage across the board. Drake thrives in big moments, whether it’s taking a charge that swings momentum or locking up a key offensive weapon on the other end. His motivation comes from the goal of being recognized as one of the top point guards in Middle Tennessee and pushing his squad toward a state title run.

This AAU season, Drake has continued to shine with back-to-back standout sessions playing for Pro One Select TN 2026. He’s looking to make his presence felt in all three major live events, HoopSeen Atlanta Jam, HoopSeen Best of the South, and the Prep Hoops National Open Championship, showing college coaches exactly what he’s capable of on a bigger stage. The consistency, composure, and competitive fire he brings makes him a game-changer in any setting.

Drake draws strength and wisdom from the best coaching advice he’s ever received, was from his dad, who’s coached him since 4th grade: “Strive to be the best version of yourself.” That drive, paired with his short memory and ability to bounce back from mistakes, keeps him focused and fired up for every opportunity.

I assess that Drake’s smart decision-making, knockdown shooting, and team-first mentality give him the tools to elevate any college program. He impacts the game in efficient, unselfish ways, making him the kind of guard coaches love to trust with the ball.

Expect even more production as Drake earns more minutes. His combination of IQ, grit, and growth mindset makes him a level prospect, and his potential to develop into one of the most reliable and dangerous point guards in the region is already well underway. Stay tuned as this young star's stock and performance will continue to rise.
