Dynamic Dazzler: The Artistry of the High Flying Combo Guard

Writer: Kevin MosesKevin Moses

Austin Sparrow @AustinSperry , 6'4, 175 , c/o 25  from Breathitt  County High School , KY is an electric athlete that is a triple threat scoring machine. Austin is explosive off the bounce and kills defenders with his high fly athletic ability. . Austin loves to get in the seams and attack that rim even through contact. Butis effective shooting  that beautiful rain rain maker from downtown. Austin battles heard on the boards and can drop a sweet dime. A scrappy defender that loves getting in those passing lanes. Austin is known as one of the best in the state for a reason. This is one of the shifties guards I have seen  with stuip good handles to aid in  being super creative..

Last season Austin averaged 22.5 points and 6.8 rebounds a game which earned him 2nd Team All-State and the KPR 14th Region Player of the Year. Scored his 2000th point along the way. Austin's most motivating event this past season was leading his team to a Regional Championship and a trip to play in the state tournament at historic Rupp Arena, every KY kid's dream. .Playing AAU for Kentuckiana  Hoops 17u has been fun to watch. Playing like a squad with an edge and little something to prove , this gem is putting on a dazzling show. .Austin's goals are to be more comfortable and get more efficient  shooting the 3. . Austin's goal for the upcoming season is to repeat as Region Champs and a return trip to Rupp Arena  but the mission is to cut down the nets this time.

Coaches can know Austin will be the hardest working kid that will bring energy , toughness and grit every time. No one outworks Austin on the floor. Though he is fierce and tough to stop one on one , he brings a high IQ and is always looking for teammates as his goal is to make game winning plays. He brings that leadership quality that can be trusted to fuel a team. His athleticism and ability to dazzle the crowd using his skills to make the right jaw dropping play at will. When i saw him in Louisville this past weekend  Austin was a huge impact in that first game against that undefeated FL Pro Hoops team.  Austin stayed in attack mode on both ends of the court. And that night his defense was key . Austin in my assessment is a mid-major D1 talent at worst and may push his way into a higher level D1 if I continue to see that fire he is playing with right now playing like a man on a mission with a team on the same page.  If you anit seen Austin shine, get to the show before this train exists this level..
