Casen is a pass-first guard who loves setting the table for his teammates, but he can flip the switch and score when the game calls for it. He sees the floor, moves the ball to the right person, and attacks off the bounce with confidence. His finishing at the rim is the part of his game he feels people overlook, and he's put in the work to make it an even stronger weapon. That mix of playmaking and scoring gives this rising star more than one way to lift his team.
He brought that energy to San Antonio, where his team went 3-0 in fall league play. Casen averaged 10 points, 2.3 steals, and 4 rebounds, finding success by getting to the basket and pressuring the ball on defense. He wanted to be aggressive at both ends, and the way he competed helped turn that weekend into a strong start for the group.
Last season, Casen averaged about 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. The moment that stays with him came against West Oso with the district championship at stake, when he rained in a big three late in the game. It was the kind of shot that showed he can answer a huge moment while still playing with a team-first mindset.
The work behind the scenes has been steady. Casen has sharpened his handles and built more strength so he can absorb contact and finish plays with greater force. He works out about six times a week and gets basketball work in about four times, while playing another sport adds speed, toughness, conditioning, and an extra competitive edge. Even shooting slumps have taught him to trust his work, stay confident, and keep taking the shots he knows he can make.
For the upcoming season, Casen is chasing averages of 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, but winning together means the most to him. A coach can count on him to compete on defense, involve his teammates, and give the team whatever it needs on the court. His family and the people who believe in him fuel that drive, and he wants his teammates to know they can count on him when it matters.
Casen has a feel for timing that helps him keep the offense moving. He can draw a defender toward him, stay balanced through contact, and create a clean look for someone else. That awareness gives his team a guard who can bring calm and purpose to a busy possession.
There's a lot to like about the way Casen backs his talent with commitment to the people beside him. His belief, competitive spirit, and willingness to meet a challenge give him a bright path this season, with plenty of room for big moments ahead.
