Wilson is a powerful, high-IQ scoring machine with one of the most dangerous jumpers in the country and the stats to prove it. A true shooting guard who blends finesse and strength, he punishes defenses with a lightning-quick release, pure mechanics, and elite confidence from deep. He led Michigan in made threes this past season with 103 on 45% shooting from distance and tied for the 5th most ever in a single season in state history. But there’s far more to Wilson’s game than just sniping. He rebounds fearlessly from the guard spot, crashes the glass with grit, and finds teammates in rhythm with vision and poise. He’s physical, smart, and unshakable under pressure, a cold-blooded matchup nightmare who plays the game with power, purpose, and unselfishness.
He averaged 19.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game this year while shooting 50% from two and a blistering 45% from three, putting up elite numbers while being constantly face-guarded and heavily defended. Wilson was named First Team All-State both athletically and academically, and he's also a standout football player, showcasing rare multi-sport toughness and leadership. Last weekend, he exploded for 47 points, hitting 12 threes at a showcase in Indiana, setting the tone heading into UAA Session 2 with the Grand Rapids Storm. His biggest improvement this year was his improved handle and ability to shoot over tight contests, skills that will be key as he prepares for the live circuit period where high major schools and top programs are already tuned in.
This offseason, Wilson is locked in on building strength, speed, and quickness while embracing tougher competition to sharpen his defensive edge. He’s hungry to push deeper into the high school state tournament and take his already elite production to an even higher level. What fires him up is the way basketball brings people together and the chance to compete at the highest level, every game, every play. When facing adversity, Wilson focuses on winning the next moment, finding the next edge, and doing whatever it takes to beat his opponent and lift his team. That mentality, matched with his historic shooting numbers, makes him one of the most complete and dangerous guards in the 2026 class and a serious Mr. Basketball candidate in Michigan.
I assess that Wilson is a relentless, high-level scorer who can space the floor, rebound through contact, and make smart reads under pressure. His combination of shooting efficiency, toughness, and basketball IQ gives him immediate value to any college program. With his physical strength and versatile skill set, he can impact a game in multiple ways from Day 1.
Expect Wilson to keep climbing. He’s got the numbers, the fire, the frame, and the mindset, and he’s only getting better. As he continues his rise through the UAA circuit and finishes his high school career, coaches at every level should be watching. He’s not just one of Michigan’s top players but a national-level guard with the potential to be special at the next level. Stay tuned for his final run. It will be must-see TV.
