Josh is a fierce competitor with a complete offensive bag and the mentality to dominate. A crafty three-level scorer, he brings a smooth, confident touch from deep, a punishing middy, and fearless, explosive finishes at the rim. His handle is strong and his footwork is strong, making him nearly impossible to contain one-on-one. When defenders try to turn up the heat, he stays calm and composed, answering with tough buckets and efficient decision-making. He’s not just a bucket-getter, Josh is a gritty defender, a student of the game, and a self-motivated leader who takes pride in competing on both ends. From sneaky bounce to nasty throwdowns, from lockdown stops to clutch shots, he brings it all, and then some.
This past season, Josh averaged 20.1 points per game while shooting a blistering 58% from the field, 41% from three, and 81% at the free throw line. He’s stepped up as a floor general with improved decision-making and consistency, evolving into a dependable leader when the moment matters most. His offseason focus is locked in on becoming more explosive, tightening his ball-handling under pressure, and elevating his playmaking to better serve his teammates. His self-awareness and work ethic shine, he’s not satisfied with being good; he’s chasing greatness.
This AAU season, Josh is playing with TNBA South on the Under Armour Rise circuit, where he’s set on gaining more exposure, dominating top competition, and leading his squad to major tournament wins. He’s especially locked in for the upcoming UA Nationals. With next high school season in sight, he’s ready to take on an even larger leadership role, put up bigger numbers, and guide Sarasota Riverview on a deep playoff run.
Josh thrives on adversity. He tunes out distractions and fuels his fire by remembering his purpose, competing to become the best version of himself. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “I am my biggest competitor.” It shows in his poise, his mindset, and his non-stop grind. Off the court, he finds peace at the beach, enjoys the outdoors, and stays grounded with friends. But on the floor, it’s all business. He’s wired to prove people wrong, and he’s doing it every single game.
I assess that Josh brings a college-ready scoring arsenal, elite efficiency, and a competitive edge that can immediately elevate a program. His ability to create, space the floor, and guard with purpose makes him a dangerous weapon at either guard spot. Coaches will love his basketball IQ, toughness, and work ethic.
Josh is evolving into one of the most reliable and versatile guards in his class. As he continues to improve his handles and vocal leadership, expect him to rise quickly on the recruiting radar. He’s built for pressure, driven by purpose, and nowhere near his ceiling. Stay tuned.
