Nicholas is a fierce, high-IQ competitor who plays with purpose and edge on both ends of the floor. A versatile weapon with a silky smooth jumper, high decision-making, and relentless defense, he thrives in any role he’s given. His ability to knock down shots, attack off the catch, create for teammates, and lock up defensively makes him a rare mix of skill and hustle. He’s wired to do whatever it takes to help his team win, whether that means scoring, moving the ball, defending multiple positions, or stepping in and taking charges to swing momentum. His game is smooth, smart, and physical. Every coach wants a guy like Nicholas on the floor when the pressure’s on.

This past season, Nicholas battled back from adversity with grit. After undergoing knee surgery last summer, he fought through a seven-month recovery and was cleared to play just one day before the season opener. Despite not being 100%, he quickly became a key contributor, earning the 6th man role and impacting games with energy, defense, and playmaking. He averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1 block per game during the school season. But now, fully healthy and back to form, Nicholas is taking off. In May, he averaged 16 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1 steal, and 2 charges per game at the MADE Hoops DMV Live event. In June, he followed that up by leading Will Rios Select CC to a 3-1 weekend at The Collision, putting up a team-high 15.7 points per game.

His biggest improvement has been his shooting, now a consistent threat from outside, and he’s focused on taking it even further this offseason while getting stronger and more athletic. His favorite part of the game is taking charges. It gets him and his team fired up more than anything. He lives for momentum-shifting plays and thrives on effort, communication, and toughness. When facing adversity, Nicholas stays focused on the positives and finds other ways to impact the game. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “Practice how you play. Game shots at game speed.”

This summer, he’s playing with Will Rios Select CC and gearing up for two huge live period events, MADE Hoops Philly Live 1 & 2 (July 9–13) and the MADE Hoops Summer Finale in Baltimore (July 18–20). His goals are to compete at a high level, win with his team, get better, and get his name out there for recruiting. He’s coming into next season fully healthy, fully locked in, and determined to prove what he’s capable of now that he’s back.

I assess that Nicholas is a high-level utility guard with a team-first mentality, defensive toughness, and a versatile offensive bag. He can stretch the floor, take contact, and create plays while bringing the defensive swagger and intelligence. Programs looking for a complete, coachable competitor with winning instincts should take serious notice.

Now fully healthy, Nicholas is ready for a breakout year. His growth over the past year speaks volumes about his work ethic and dedication. Expect a strong senior season and continued standout performances on the AAU circuit as he plays his way into recruiting conversations. This is a player who elevates everyone around him. His resilience and grit have set the stage for a statement last run. Stay tuned.
