A smart, crafty combo guard who plays with poise well beyond his years, Kobe brings calm command and fierce instincts every time he steps on the floor. He can hurt defenses off the catch, create off-ball screens, or put pressure downhill and force fouls when lanes open. The game doesn’t rush him. He sees the floor clearly, processes quickly, and takes pride in being the one who can settle things down or turn the tempo up when needed. His IQ stands out immediately, and that feel allows him to control the offense and keep teammates in rhythm. Add in a confident touch from deep, where he rained in over 40% from the arc, and defenses are forced to respect him at all three levels.

Last season, Kobe averaged 7.2 points per game, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 rebounds, while shooting 40.8% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range. Early this season, he’s already had impactful performances, including a 14-point night in a 65–58 win over a tough Medford squad and another efficient 12-point outing where he closed the first half with multiple big threes. In those stretches, he consistently applied pressure, spaced the floor, and made winning plays that don’t always show up loudly but matter deeply. Ranked #26 in the state and #7 at his position, his impact is being noticed.

One of the biggest improvements in his game has been handling the ball under pressure. That growth showed after earning varsity minutes last season, an opportunity that proved he could compete at a high level despite the team going through adversity. A year ago, wins were hard to come by, but this season opened with a statement victory and a clear shift in mindset. It’s been about next play focus, staying connected, and getting better every day. Even while sidelined by injury during a one-point loss to rival Eau Claire Memorial, the competitive edge and investment in the group never wavered.

Coaches can expect a tough, confident guard who competes on both ends and brings real edge to the floor. He’s vocal when needed, aggressive from the opening tip, and energized by hustle plays that swing momentum. Looking ahead, the focus is on getting bigger, stronger, quicker, and stepping more firmly into a leadership role while continuing to expand his finishing package and overall athleticism.

I assess that Kobe’s feel for the game, shooting efficiency, and ability to manage pressure give him real value as a guard who can stabilize lineups and make smart decisions. His awareness and competitiveness allow him to impact winning without forcing the action, making him a reliable piece for programs that value control, spacing, and toughness.

As his body develops and his role expands, expect Kobe to take on more responsibility as both a scorer and organizer. With continued growth in strength, quickness, and finishing, his influence will extend deeper into games and seasons, positioning him as a steady upward presence within his class and beyond. Stay tuned.
