Russell HS, KY

Jagger Prickett is back, and he’s coming with a purpose. After three long years away from the game due to multiple knee surgeries and setbacks, the talented point guard has returned hungrier than ever, determined to make his mark as one of the top guards in Kentucky and a name to watch in the 2028 class. , Prickett is a high-IQ floor general who thrives on breaking down defenses, getting to the rim, and locking up opponents with his defensive intensity. He plays with toughness, confidence, and a chip on his shoulder, making sure every possession counts. His biggest improvement has been his shot, and he’s now focused on elevating his middy and becoming more dangerous in one-on-one scenarios. For Jagger, this isn’t just another season, it’s a statement year, and he’s sending a message that he’s here to stay.

What makes Prickett stand out is his relentless motor and unselfish approach. Coaches can count on him to give maximum effort every time he steps on the floor, making the right plays, putting teammates in positions to succeed, and never shying away from big moments. He thrives in close games where the pressure is highest, and if an opponent starts talking, he only turns it up another notch. Returning to full health and moving back to Russell has been the most impactful part of his journey so far, and he’s looking forward to chasing a regional championship with his squad. The best advice he’s ever received is, "Stay the course and keep grinding ". Jagger has embraced adversity as fuel, turning every setback into motivation. Off the court, he enjoys spending time with friends and even competing in mini hoop battles that keep his competitive spirit alive. After everything he’s endured, Prickett is more than just back; he’s ready to rise, ready to prove himself, and ready to show everyone that his time is now.

I assess that Jagger’s size, IQ, and toughness give him the tools to be a true leader on the floor. His ability to attack the rim, defend with grit, and make the right play every possession makes him a guard who can immediately impact a college program. His unselfishness and relentless energy will elevate everyone around him.

Now fully healthy, Jagger is positioned to be one of the breakout guards in Kentucky’s 2028 class. His improved shot, defensive edge, and ability to thrive under pressure point to a high ceiling. With his resilience and hunger to prove himself, he’s a player who can grow into a cornerstone guard with long-term potential. Get your popcorn ready, cause this young star is coming for it all. Stay tuned.
