Spencer County HS, KY

Jacob is a dynamic all-purpose back with fire in his legs and vision in his soul. He’s electric in open space, explosive through the hole, and fierce in every phase of the game. Whether he’s torching defenses on the ground, slipping out as a receiver, or making special teams his personal highlight reel, Jacob is a playmaker with the kind of juice you can’t teach. His cuts are fierce, his top-end speed is dangerous, and his football IQ is off the charts, often reading a defense before the snap and exposing what they don't even know they're giving up. What separates him from the pack is his versatility. He’s a real three-phase threat who lines up anywhere and makes something happen every time the ball finds his hands. Coaches don’t have to scheme for him. They just have to unleash him.

This season, Jacob had 1,161 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground, along with 40 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. Add in two kick return touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns, and a pick on defense, and you’ve got one of the most well-rounded stat sheet stuffers in Kentucky’s 2028 class. But his biggest improvement wasn’t in the numbers but his leadership. Stepping into a bigger role, Jacob embraced the weight of being a tone-setter, not just in production but also in mindset. He’s poured himself into offseason work, focusing on expanding his game as a receiving back, evolving with today’s game, and becoming the kind of dual threat that demands attention. His motivation is the love from his community and the desire to give back through greatness. He feels their support every snap, and it fuels him to be better than he was the play before.

Jacob is wired for impact. He reads alignments, exploits mismatches, and thrives in chaos. When facing adversity, he eats it. Trash talk from opponents and noise from the crowd only elevate his edge. He responds with production. His goals are sky high, and rightly so. Jacob knows he has the talent to play at the D1 level and is willing to outwork everyone in his path to get there. His grind is built on humility, hunger, and faith. While Louisville has taken notice and added him to their radar, he’s prepared to walk whatever path God has planned for him, no matter the division. His message to younger athletes is simple, Outwork everybody. You may not be the biggest or strongest, but with enough work, you can become the hardest to stop.

What matters most to him in a program is the relationship between player and coach, and team and faith. He wants to grow not just as an athlete, but as a man of God, and the best coaching advice he ever received still guides him today: “It doesn’t matter where you go. If you work, your talent will make the noise.” That is what drives Jacob to be the real deal every time he steps on the field.

I assess that Jacob brings rare versatility to the table. His ability to shift from lead back to slot receiver to return ace, and still produce on defense, makes him a Swiss Army knife that college coaches love. He can change a game in a single play and brings toughness, awareness, and passion that lifts the entire team.

With elite athleticism, high football IQ, and relentless drive, Jacob is evolving into one of Kentucky’s most complete backs in the 2028 class. Expect his name to rise on recruiting boards as he continues to build on every part of his game. His potential is sky-high, and he's just getting started.
