6’5, 205lbs, Class of 2026

Martin’s Mill HS, TX

Archer plays the game with strength, balance, and a steady edge that shows up on every possession. A versatile forward who can rain shots from the outside or power his way to the rim, he brings a physical presence that translates on both ends of the floor. He is comfortable playing off two feet in the paint, finishing through contact, and absorbing collisions without losing control. Archer embraces the physical side of the game. Taking charges, battling on the boards, and making tough plays are not extras for him, they are part of who he is.

Last season, Archer averaged 18 points and 6 rebounds, then took another step forward this year with averages around 20 points and over 5 rebounds per game while carrying leadership responsibilities. His biggest improvement has come in how he affects the game when scoring is not the focus. Rebounding, defending, communicating, and setting the tone have become just as important as putting the ball in the basket. He understands how to impact winning without forcing shots.

That mindset was on full display earlier this year during Martin’s Mill’s run to the 2A Texas State Championship. Archer had 18 points and 7 rebounds in the title game, helping his team win the school’s first state championship since 1949. The performance was a reflection of years of work and trust in his game. He earned All-State Tournament Team honors, All-Region recognition, and multiple other awards while emerging as a clear leader for his team.

Archer plays every possession on both ends of the floor. He is vocal, engaged, and willing to do the dirty work. His team regularly takes on 6A, 5A, and 4A programs, competing at a high level and winning games despite the difference in classification. That experience has elevated his edge and reinforced his belief in his preparation. Hitting a big shot or stepping in to take a charge fuels him, and those moments often swing momentum in his team’s favor.

When facing adversity, Archer focuses on one play at a time. No dwelling or carryover. Whether the last possession was good or bad, the focus stays forward. That approach, combined with his self-driven work ethic and leadership as a team captain, has allowed him to play his best basketball as a senior.

College interest continues to build, and while nothing is official yet, opportunities are opening as coaches see his consistency and toughness on film.

I assess that Archer brings size, physicality, and versatility that can help a college program immediately. His ability to score at multiple levels, rebound in traffic, and make hard plays allows him to fit into different roles while providing reliability and edge.

Moving forward, expect a poised forward who continues to impact games through strength, effort, and awareness. As his ball handling continues to develop, his offensive bag will expand, but his value will always be rooted in toughness, leadership, and his willingness to make winning plays every night. Stay tuned to see how high he flies as he leads his team in pursuit of a repeat championship and more history.
