"A Shooter’s Reputation, A Guard’s Complete Game"

Magnolia’s game is built with range, rhythm, and confidence that never looks rushed. The jumper is smooth and dependable, but it’s anything but one-dimensional. She sees the floor clearly, keeps the ball moving, and understands where the next advantage is before it shows itself. She can slide into the point guard spot without changing the flow, facilitate a possession, and still be ready to score when the window opens. On the other end, she stays active, reads passing lanes, and competes for the ball in ways that don’t show up unless you’re paying attention. Everything she brings is rooted in discipline, unseen work, and a real love for the game.

In high school conference play, she averaged 10.5 points per game while helping push her team to the district finals. She rained in 52 three pointers in a single season and now sits at 99 for her career. Efficiency followed the volume, shooting about 34 percent from deep, around 80 percent at the line, and posting a 53.5 effective field goal percentage. Defense mattered just as much, as she consistently came up with rebounds and steals that kept possessions alive and swung momentum in tight games.

On the AAU circuit, Magnolia took another step under Coach Mike Dokter. She averaged 12.29 points per game with a 52 percent field-goal clip and delivered one of her signature performances, hitting 6 threes to help carry her team into the championship game. In a single tournament, she rained in 19 threes from deep, staying within the offense while the ball kept finding her hands. That run earned her Top Performer recognition from Prep Girls Hoops and a spot on the All-Tournament Team, adding another layer to her achievements.

One area that continues to stand out is her rebounding, especially on the offensive end. Despite her height, Magnolia has a knack for tracking the ball, slipping into space, and creating second chances through timing and effort. She plays aggressively, attacks openings, and looks to earn fouls instead of avoiding contact. While shooting remains a strength, her game isn’t locked into one skill. She’s focused on continuing to raise her basketball IQ, reading defenses faster, and trusting herself to take on matchups when the opportunity is there.

The goals ahead are to get that 100th career three-pointer, and it's sitting right there. Just as important is building consistency after injury and preparing for what comes next. Colorado Christian University is the next stop, and it’s a place she’s really excited about. Playing for Coach Ratliff, being surrounded by teammates who care about each other and the game, and spending the next four years competing at the D2 level all line up with who she is and how she plays.

Her energy is tied closely to the people around her. Teammates who stay loud, shared stretches where shots keep falling, and those runs where confidence spreads from one player to the next. Those are the moments she feeds off, when the game opens up, and everything clicks.

When facing adversity, Magnolia stays steady. She moves on, trusts the work, and understands that the ball always finds its way back through the net. Nothing lingers longer than it should. Every experience on and off the court has shaped her path, and she carries gratitude for every opportunity that brought her here. With excitement for what’s ahead, she’s ready to continue growing and proving that her game has always been more than the shot.

I assess that Magnolia brings spacing, control, and reliability into a lineup without forcing action. Her ability to connect possessions, compete on the glass, and stay disciplined defensively gives coaches a guard they can trust. She strengthens lineups by doing the small things well and keeping the game balanced on both ends.

As she moves forward, continued growth in reading defenses and attacking matchups will expand her impact even further. With adjustments to the college game and continued reps, her efficiency and confidence should keep rising. Expect a guard who fits, contributes, and continues to grow into a steady presence at the next level. Stay tuned.
