Gavin is a versatile three-level scoring wing who puts constant pressure on a defense with pace, power, and intent. Strong handles and is electric off the bounce allow him to get downhill whenever he wants, and he finishes strong even through contact. Tight defense does not bother him because he can rise up over it or go straight through it, forcing defenders to pick their poison. He can score it from anywhere on the floor, and that threat keeps defenses stretched and uneasy every possession.

On the other end, his impact is just as real, bringing relentless shot blocking from the wing, real toughness on the boards, and a nose for the ball. He sees the floor well, delivers dimes on time, and stays involved even when the play is not drawn up for him.

The last two games showed exactly how much he impacts winning. Protecting home court, Gavin controlled the game with effort and presence, finishing with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 blocks. He had a stat sheet stuffer while dictating the tempo by staying active on both ends. In the following game, when the team could not quite get over the hump, his response never changed. He stayed aggressive, stayed in attack mode, and poured in 29 points while continuing to apply pressure. The results were different, but the approach and the impact stayed the same.

On the season, Gavin is averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while leading his team in every offensive category. The biggest improvement from last year is how much control he now has over the game. His shooting ability pulls defenders toward him, opening space for teammates and allowing the offense to flow with more freedom. The floor stretches the moment he gets involved, and his presence alone creates opportunities. His goal is to help change Ashland's culture into a winning, tough program that competes every night.

Competition fuels him and sharpens his edge, especially when the talking starts. When facing adversity and shots are not falling, he does not disappear. He elevates other areas of the game by defending harder, rebounding with more urgency, moving the ball, and finding ways to positively impact the outcome. With no offers yet, the hunger remains strong, and the consistency continues to show on film.

I assess that Gavin brings size, versatility, and a dependable two-way presence that can immediately help a college program. His ability to score at all three levels demands defensive attention, while his rebounding, shot blocking, and passing raise the level of play for everyone around him.

As Gavin continues to grow as a game controller and leader, his value will keep rising. He plays with edge, embraces competition, and impacts the game in multiple ways without needing everything built around him.
