Max brings a complete, balanced skill set that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he is a confident shooter who can stretch the defense with a smooth rainmaker from beyond the arc, but he is just as effective attacking off the bounce with purpose. He plays off two feet in the paint, finishes through contact, draws fouls, and is comfortable scoring the middy when defenders overplay the perimeter. That scoring ability is combined with real feel as a playmaker, reading closeouts, finding teammates when help collapses, and keeping the offense flowing. On the defensive end, he is relentless and competitive, applies pressure, jumps passing lanes, and contests shots with effort and length. He rebounds aggressively on both ends, turning stops into transition opportunities by securing the ball and pushing tempo. His motor, awareness, and willingness to impact the game however it calls for make him more than just a scorer.
Last season, Max averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, establishing himself as a reliable all-around contributor. This season, his current production has reflected that same versatility. He opened with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, and 1 block, checking every box and impacting the game on both ends. He followed that performance with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists, controlling the game through scoring pressure, rebounding presence, and smart decision-making. One of his biggest improvements has been confidence, allowing him to get downhill more consistently and open up his perimeter game while creating better opportunities for teammates.
Moving forward, Max is focused on playing with more pace, using change of speed to create advantages for himself and others. That growth mindset carried into his decision to switch AAU programs, seeking stronger, faster, and more physical competition. He thrives in competitive environments and looks forward to rivalry matchups like Esko, games that always bring intensity and energy.
Max feeds off the energy of his teammates, coaches, and the student section, and gives it back through communication and steady presence. When momentum shifts, he reassures teammates and helps the group find rhythm again. His approach remains simple and consistent, staying aggressive, staying connected, and continuing to impact winning.
Off the court, Max competes in football and challenges himself mentally through chess, showing a mix of physical toughness and awareness. With college basketball as a clear goal, he is excited for his upcoming AAU season on the E32 circuit, playing with the Playmakers and testing his complete game against high-level competition. He is motivated to make a deep playoff run and continue proving his value as a true all-around wing.
I assess that Max offers a college program a versatile wing who can score at multiple levels while also rebounding, defending, and facilitating within the flow of the game. His size, motor, and feel allow him to fit a variety of lineups and roles.
As his pace, confidence, and consistency continue to grow, Max is poised to be a dependable two-way contributor whose impact shows up as a stat sheet stuffer and in winning plays. Expect continued growth as an all-around presence as he pushes toward the next level. Stay tuned.
