Xavier is an electric, dynamic weapon who leaves his imprint on every snap with force, urgency, and versatility. As a downhill running back, he is electric out of the backfield, combining breakaway speed with real power that's hard to bring down once he hits the gap. He presses the hole with patience, then explodes through it, punishing arm tackles and finishing runs with purpose. Once he gets rolling, he is relentless, chewing up yardage and wearing defenses down drive after drive. He is also dangerous as a receiver out of the backfield, reliable with his hands, and comfortable running routes that stretch and stress coverage. Add in his impact on special teams, where he is a constant threat to flip the field or take one to the house, and you get a player who affects the game in multiple ways. What separates Xavier is his reliability. He can handle volume, protect the quarterback, run good routes, and still bring maximum effort every single play. Coaches can expect a fierce competitor who plays with urgency, toughness, and accountability from the opening kickoff to the final whistle.
Last season, Xavier had 475 rushing yards on 91 carries with 6 touchdowns, while adding 194 receiving yards on 26 catches. This season, his breakout has been undeniable as he carried the ball 260 times for 1,537 rushing yards, added 19 receptions for 166 yards, ripped off 231 yards on 7 kick returns, and scored 20 total touchdowns, finishing with 1,934 all-purpose yards. His biggest improvement has been his explosiveness out of the backfield and his ability to read the correct gap and hit it downhill with speed and intent. The offseason focus stays centered on continued growth, discipline, and preparation, with goals set on team success and personal development.
What fuels him most is doubt. Being counted out, hearing people question his team, and seeing confidence dip around him lights a fire that pushes him to lead from the front and lift everyone with his play. One performance that captures his ceiling came against Douglas County, where he shouldered the load with 33 carries for 303 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, showing exactly what happens when the offense runs through him.
Xavier’s game is built on a high IQ as much as physicality. Before the snap, he reads the entire field. In pass protection, he identifies blitzes and understands where pressure is coming from. In the run game, he keys linebackers, reading their eyes and body language to anticipate flow and attack space. He takes pride in pass blocking, values reliability, and embraces being trusted in any situation. When facing adversity, his response is immediate. He bounces back, fixes mistakes, and keeps pushing forward without letting negative moments linger. His motivation comes from his teammates and his family, playing every snap with the intent to bring energy, confidence, and pride to those around him.
Xavier sees himself playing at the DI level, whether FBS or FCS, and understands what it will take to get there. Hard work, dedication, and strong classroom habits are non-negotiable parts of that plan. While he currently has no offers, he is open to all levels because his love for football outweighs image or attention. Every opportunity matters. What he looks for in a program is a campus that feels right and a team culture built on genuine bonds, where coaches and players operate like family. Every time he takes the field, a coach can expect maximum effort. That is the standard he lives by. Control what you can control, and effort is always at the top of that list.
I assess that Xavier brings a blend of workload capability, physical toughness, and football intelligence that can immediately raise the ceiling of a college backfield. His ability to impact the run game, passing game, and special teams gives a program flexibility and trust in critical moments. He is the type of player who can stabilize an offense and set the competitive tone.
Moving forward, Xavier is poised to be a dependable, high-output back whose game is built to translate as speed and physicality increase. Expect continued growth in vision, explosion, and leadership, with a player who embraces responsibility and thrives when the moment demands more. His ceiling is tied to opportunity, and when that door opens, he has shown he is ready to kick it down. Buckle up, y'all, as his best football is still ahead. Stay tuned.
