At the #PrimeTimeShowcase, in that gritty battle against Team Thad, Jalen put together a strong 13-point outing, but the impact went far beyond the stat sheet. What had everything clicking was his ability to stay loose and let the game come to him. No forcing action, no chasing shots. He picked his spots, made smart plays, and helped ignite that second-half push by balancing scoring with getting his teammates involved. As the tempo shifted, his energy matched it, and possession by possession, he helped swing momentum back his team’s way.

When things tightened late and the pressure started building, Jalen never lost his composure. His mindset stayed locked on one thing, winning each possession. The other was a season-high 20-point performance against Kirkwood at Battle for Nashville. Those weren’t just big nights, they were statements.

The moment everything started to change for him came when he stopped letting pressure control him. Once he understood that mistakes are part of the game and fully believed in what he brings, everything slowed down. Confidence took over, and when those big moments came calling, he was ready instead of reacting.

When postseason play arrived, Jalen raised his level. The approach shifted to making every possession count even more. Extra work, more time in the weight room, and a deeper focus on preparation. So far, he’s averaging close to 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game while continuing to impact both ends in a big way.

Adversity hit during a stretch where things weren’t clicking the way he wanted. There were moments where it felt like he wasn’t doing enough, where doubt tried to creep in. But instead of backing off, Jalen leaned into the work. Staying in the gym, putting up shots, and shifting his focus to defense, leadership, and doing the little things that win games. That response showed what he’s built on.

The biggest improvement in his game has come through his ball-handling, jump shot, and overall understanding of how everything connects on the floor. That didn’t come easy. Late nights in the gym, consistent work in the weight room, and a commitment to his craft brought it out. Every rep, every session, stacking toward becoming more complete.
