Jack is quickly becoming a rising name to watch. He describes himself as an inside-out scorer, and that style showed itself throughout his freshman season and into a strong AAU run with Kentucky Supreme. Whether attacking the basket with confidence or stretching the floor from the outside, Jack continued expanding his game while embracing every challenge thrown his way. His combination of size, physicality, and growing skill set allowed him to compete against older competition, and every game became another opportunity to prove he belonged.

Jack enjoyed a strong freshman season at St. Mary before carrying that momentum into AAU, where Kentucky Supreme played unselfish basketball and consistently shared the ball. One of the biggest highlights came during the close battles at the E40 Tournament, where every possession mattered, and every player had to step up. Playing up two age divisions became one of the biggest learning experiences of his young career because it forced him to battle bigger, stronger defenders every trip down the floor. Instead of backing away from the challenge, he learned how to use his body more effectively around the rim, absorb contact, and finish through traffic with much greater confidence. Those lessons have already started paying off and will continue helping him as the competition gets tougher.

Over the past year, Jack believes his three-point shot has made the biggest improvement, giving defenders another problem to deal with whenever he steps on the floor. Already comfortable attacking the basket with physical play, adding a more consistent outside shot makes him an even tougher matchup because defenses can no longer focus on taking away just one part of his game. While finishing over bigger defenders was the biggest adversity during AAU, that experience only devolved his toughness and helped him become more creative around the basket. Every difficult possession became another lesson, and every challenge helped build more confidence.

This offseason, Jack has put a major focus on developing his middy so he can become an even more complete scorer. His biggest team goal is helping St. Mary win a regional championship, and he understands that reaching that goal starts long before the season begins. Much of his time is spent in the gym with his teammates working on the shooting machine, expanding different parts of his game with his coach, and staying consistent in the weight room. That daily commitment continues building both his confidence and his physical strength while preparing him for another jump forward.

When Jack steps on the court, energy is never something anyone has to question. Coaches can expect a relentless worker who hustles every possession, competes until the final buzzer, and gives everything he has for his teammates. He takes pride in sharing the basketball, making the extra pass, and doing whatever gives his team the best chance to win. At the same time, he wants everyone to see a more aggressive scorer who attacks the rim with confidence and proves he can consistently score against varsity competition. With another year of experience, added strength, and a more polished offensive game, Griffith looks ready to make his sophomore season one to remember.

I assess that Jack has an exciting foundation built around size, physicality, and an inside-out scoring package that continues expanding. His improved three-point shooting, willingness to attack through contact, and growing confidence finishing around bigger defenders give him multiple ways to impact the game offensively. His unselfish approach, steady work ethic, and commitment to improving every area of his game make his long-term potential sky-high as he continues adding new weapons to his offensive arsenal.

The growth Jack showed while playing up two age divisions could become a major turning point in his development. Competing against older, stronger opponents sped up his learning to create space and helped him become tougher, smarter, and more confident around the basket. As his middy continues developing and his body gets stronger, expect him to become an even more versatile offensive weapon capable of creating problems from the perimeter, in the paint, and everywhere in between while taking on an even bigger role for St. Mary. Stay tuned.
