Kingston is crafty and fluent with the ability to score on all levels with a beautiful catch and shoot or an explosive attack off the bounce for fierce finishes. Kinston performs with consistency and poise. Kingston's game is always smooth and controlled. Kingston impacts the game on both sides of the ball. He does not just score but mixes it up on the boards, dropping timely dimes, and scrappy defense. Kingston is called, " Quiet Storm", AKA the " Silent Assassin". Kingston's greatest strength is his fundamentals.
This past season at John Adams Middle School Kingston averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The most motivating thing that happened to Kingston last season that will push him to move forward was playing through three major injuries to help lead his team to its 3rd straight County Championship. For Kingston, it was proof that he had the mentality to play through pain which elevated his game to another level. Kingston's goal this coming season is to play his role well on the varsity team while continuing to polish his game and develop his body.
For AAU Kingston played for WV Gold 2028 and the goal now is to make the Pro 16 15U this coming session. Kingston helped his team gain exposure and averaged 14 points, 3rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals on the Made Hoops Circuit while focused on improving his all-around game, getting stronger, and quicker.
What fuels Kingston’s fire the most is his passion for competing. Kingston never talks trash but lets his game do all the talking. His actions speak louder than words. However, Kingston Loves it when opponents talk trash to him.
Kingston was coached by his dad, for most of his youth, along with other hard-nosed coaches. He learned how to handle adversity over the years through many different experiences on and off the court. Which helped him learn to control what he can and let go of what he can't. "Next play. "
Coaches should know what separates Kingston from others is his work ethic and mentality. Kingston is a student of the game. He has experience playing against top talent in highly competitive games his entire youth - winning games and championships in some of the biggest tournaments in the nation. With Kinston, you get a proven winner with a winning mentality who knows exactly how to win.
Like many others, Kinston is working to play D1 basketball. Kingston's dream is to be a TN Vol but would be honored to play at the next level period.
I assess Kingston has an edge and drive to pursue greatness with a strong winning mentality. Kingston is just different and it's clear he is going to have a lot of success. He controls how high he flies with that quiet demeanor, killer instinct, and willingness to take on whatever role is needed. A mark of a champion. Stay tuned for a great run. We will be tracking this journey closely.
