Gustavo-Elias is a powerful, high-IQ wing built to dominate in every phase of the game. With a college-ready frame and an unselfish mindset, he’s a versatile weapon who can score, distribute, rebound, and defend. He attacks the rim with strength and poise, finishes through contact, and has the confidence to rain shots from deep. Whether he’s leading the break, finding teammates on cuts, or making smart decisions in the half court, he plays with control and vision. His scoring is consistent and efficient, but what sets him apart is his ability to impact every possession without needing the ball in his hands. He thrives in system play, moves well without the ball, and takes pride in making the right reads at the right time.
This past season, Gustavo averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game while serving as team captain and emotional anchor. His biggest improvement came in scoring consistency and his ability to manage tempo, showing maturity in both execution and leadership. As a vocal leader on and off the court, he helped unite the team during bonding trips and team camps, setting the tone for a competitive culture. Now, he’s locked in on taking his defensive effort to the next level and improving his ball-handling to become even more assertive with the rock.
He’ll be playing for Hard2Guard this AAU season with eyes on the Puma NXT Finals in Orlando, Florida. The goal is to lead, win, and get noticed. Gustavo focused on growth and the kind of exposure that elevates his game and his team. What fires him up most is smothering defense. When his squad locks in on that end, his energy surges and his intensity hits another gear. And when facing adversity, he doesn’t fold; he responds with focus, searching for solutions and growing through every challenge.
The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “It’ll never be enough, you have to constantly keep working.” That reminder fuels his hunger to improve, stay grounded, and never get comfortable.
Off the court, Gustavo enjoys lifting weights, playing different sports, and putting in the work academically. Whether it’s in the gym, on the court, or in the classroom, he approaches everything with purpose and pride.
I assess that Gustavo brings versatility, leadership, and physicality to any program. His combination of scoring, playmaking, rebounding, and defensive effort gives coaches a multi-dimensional forward who can fill gaps, set the tone, and create winning plays. He’s not just a scorer but a difference-maker.
With continued growth in his handles and defensive consistency, Gustavo has the tools to become a complete two-way force. His motor, mentality, and maturity already stand out, and his ceiling only continues to rise. Expect him to lead, compete, and rise to every opportunity. Expect a breakout season ahead.
