Bryer plays the game with fierce energy and a fearless mindset that never lets up. A dynamic guard with explosive burst and electric instincts, he’s built to attack, whether it’s fighting through contact at the rim or creating space off the dribble for a deadly pull-up jumper. He’s a relentless playmaker who thrives under pressure and takes pride in leading his team on both ends of the floor. With a smooth stroke from deep and the strength to finish in traffic, Bryer forces defenders to make tough choices—and most of the time, they choose wrong. He’s tough, he’s vocal, and he plays with a chip on his shoulder every time he steps on the court.

This past season, Bryer erupted for 17.1 points per game, shooting 44% from the field and 38% from three while adding 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. He capped the year with an impressive 405 total points, cementing his role as one of the region's most dangerous offensive weapons, earning All-State Honorable Mention honors. His biggest improvement was his confidence attacking the basket, and this offseason, his focus is to finish strong through contact without hesitation and become a more dominant inside threat. His ability to pull up or knock down threes already creates separation, and now he’s adding more power to his drives. What pushes him forward is a sectional loss to George Washington that still stings. That game lit a fire in him. He knows he and his teammates could’ve played harder, communicated more, and competed at a higher level, and he’s not letting that happen again.

Bryer plays for the WV Kings Gold AAU squad with the clear goal of dominating every big-shot tournament they enter. But more than wins, he’s chasing growth. He’s focused on elevating his basketball IQ, improving his skill set, and becoming the kind of player who can lead by example and by voice. His mindset is built for big moments. If he’s not scoring, he’s locking in defensively and setting up his teammates to shine. When facing adversity, Bryer adjusts, plays harder, moves the ball better, and lifts those around him. That’s the mark of a true leader.

His fire gets lit when someone scores on him. Bryer takes it personally, and it only makes him better. A coach can expect everything from Bryer: toughness, heart, high character, and unmatched passion for the game. He sees himself playing DiI basketball, and he’s not just dreaming but working for it every single day. His drive, discipline, and desire to win make that goal real and reachable. As he gears up for the next season, Bryer’s focused on one thing: bringing a state championship back to Riverside and taking his game to the next level.

I assess that Bryer’s shot creation, three-level scoring, and fearless rim attacks give him the tools to thrive in high-level systems. His leadership, communication, and tenacity on both ends of the court make him an immediate asset to any team. Coaches looking for a gritty, coachable guard who can take over or elevate others will find exactly that in Bryer.

Expect Bryer to continue climbing. His motor, mental toughness, and evolving offensive game make him a high-upside prospect with D1 potential. As he adds strength and fine-tunes his finishes, he’s going to be even harder to contain. Bryer’s all-in, and with that kind of fire, expect him to leave a lasting mark everywhere he plays. Stay tuned.
