Isaac is a fearless competitor with a fiery motor and a game built on energy, instinct, and toughness. He’s a crafty, explosive slasher who lives in attack mode, constantly disrupting defenses, drawing contact, and either finishing through traffic or dishing to teammates with dazzling thread-the-needle dimes. As the lead guard, Isaac thrives under pressure, directing traffic and taking command of the floor with confidence. What separates him is his dog mentality he brings on both ends, playing through contact on offense and fighting for stops on defense. He’s built for the moment, with a playmaker’s heart and a leader’s mindset that fuels his team in big games.
Isaac’s production and leadership helped guide Oakwood to a Central Coast Section Championship and a run to the California State Elite 8, where he started at point guard and set the tone from start to finish. His biggest leap came on the defensive side and in his decision-making, cutting down turnovers and becoming a more complete two-way player. He is focused on developing his shot even more, especially catch-and-shoot threes and off-the-dribble looks, to stretch defenses and raise his scoring impact. Isaac is also focused on building his athleticism to become even more dynamic. What drives him is the competitive fire to keep growing, and the confidence to face adversity head-on, analyzing situations and attacking them without hesitation.
This AAU season, Isaac is playing with Hard 2 Guard, ready to show what he’s built in the lab. He has his sights set on a live period tournament in Los Angeles on May 16th, a major opportunity to showcase his skillset in front of college coaches. His goals are to develop individually and win big on the biggest stages. With another playoff run in his sights and a mindset that embraces pressure, Isaac is locked in and wired to win. The best advice he’s ever received is, “Don’t think, just play.” And when he does, you can feel the impact from the opening tip.
I assess that Isaac’s blend of toughness, court awareness, and playmaking makes him a dynamic lead guard who can impact winning at the next level. He competes with intensity, takes pride in defense, and has the ability to shift momentum with both his scoring and unselfish play. As his shooting continues to evolve, so will his value as a versatile, high-IQ guard colleges can trust in crunch time.
Isaac is poised for a breakout stretch with Hard 2 Guard and has all the tools to become a force in California and beyond. Expect more efficient scoring, a deeper bag of moves, and an even greater defensive presence. With his mindset, fire, and feel for the game, his best basketball is still ahead. Stay tuned!
