Ty Price is a crafty combo guard and a lethal scoring machine who plays with a confident swagger fueled by a chip on his shoulder. With a fearless edge, Ty consistently proves he’s the best shooter on the court. He can torch the nets from anywhere with unlimited range, a skill that leaves defenders scrambling. Pound for pound, there’s no better shooter out there. His electric speed and high basketball IQ allow him to create his own shots or dish out highlight-worthy assists—an underrated part of his game that often gets overshadowed by his prolific scoring.

Ty has elevated his defensive game this season, using his speed and quick hands to turn steals into easy transition points. Whether it’s making sharp reads in the pick-and-roll or flexing his improved defensive prowess, Ty is a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor.

Playing for the Grand Park Premier, Ty averaged 29 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals per game. He knocked down 143 threes, ranking 3rd all-time for made threes in a single season. Currently focused on his high school season, Ty is working on maintaining his strength and breaking down film to make smarter reads and become even more efficient.

The ultimate goal for Ty and his team is crystal clear: winning a state championship. Losing Lawson Rice to injury has been a tough blow, especially for rebounding and defense, but Ty believes they’ve rallied together and are finding their groove. The team has matured since last season, with most players now seniors who know what it takes to win and hold each other accountable daily.

Ty’s biggest accomplishment is signing to play Division I basketball with UT Martin, fulfilling a dream he’s had since he first picked up a basketball. It’s a blessing he doesn’t take lightly. Ty is eagerly anticipating matchups with Great Crossing, with Malachi Moreno(the Kentucky commit) and Mr. Basketball candidate, making this game even more fun and challenging. Ty is also looking forward to playing rivals Davies County and Grayson County, where he’s ready to make statements against teams looking to capitalize on Lawson’s absence.

When asked about adversity, Ty is quick to point to his faith. "No matter what I’m faced with, I know it’s nothing more than I can handle because God has a plan for me." He lives by 1 Corinthians 10:31, striving to glorify God in everything he does. For Ty, his faith isn’t just a part of his life; it’s the foundation that drives his purpose on and off the court.

Off the court, Ty enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with family. But when the lights are on, Ty transforms from humble and soft-spoken to a fierce competitor. His signing with UT Martin reflects a strong bond with the coaching staff, a perfect fit for his play style, and an opportunity to make an immediate impact as a freshman.

Ty and Butler County are hungry to return to Rupp Arena, making a statement every step of the way. Ty is proving unstoppable on a scoring tear this season. Saying he’s playing like a man on a mission is an understatement. He’s setting gyms on fire with lights-out shooting, delivering moments you can’t afford to miss.

Humble yet relentless, Ty Price leaves everything on the court, with God guiding his every step. So grab your popcorn, kick back, and watch Ty close out his high school career with nothing less than a blaze of glory.
