Yazan is a very skilled along wing who is extremely versatile with a soft touch from outside to drag opposing bigs out to defend him, knowing he is a real threat to catch fire and light up the scoreboard. But I can effectively work the paint with crafty finishes. Yazan has good footwork and loves to get out and run in transition. Yazan describes his game as a mix of Kevin Durant and Victor Wembenyama. Yazan is effective on the boards and really focuses on being a well-rounded player who contributes on both ends of the floor. Yazan can also create plays for teammates as a playmaker and not just for himself. Yazan uses his length on defense to disrupt passing lanes, block shots, and grab rebounds.
Yazan's main areas of focus for development are his strength and dribbling.
Yazan's goals for the upcoming season are to gain weight, improve overall, win the provincials with his school team, and do well in the 17u nationals this year.
Yazan's biggest improvement from last season is going from being a center to a wing, having improved his jump shot, dribbling, and athleticism.
What fires Yazan up on the court is after scoring back-to-back or getting blocks and making good plays, which energizes him and gets him in his zone where he can't be touched.
Yazan knows that challenges and setbacks are inevitable, so he doesn't ’overthink it but focuses on how and what he could do better.
The best advice Yazan was ever given was " Control what you can control."
Outside of basketball, Yazan enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, and chilling with family.
As Yazan strives for the next goal, it will take a lot of discipline, hard work, and a lot of hours put in, early mornings and late nights. Yazan feels like in these next couple of years ahead of him, he will fit in the D1 level. Yazan currently has no offers or interests, but hopefully, get some soon.
I believe that Yazan is a dazzling athlete who can be a real problem on both sides of the court. Yazan is a match-up nightmare with size and speed to match his skills. He could be one of the better wings from his area in the end due to how talented Yazan is right now. Yazan's potential is through the roof, with two more years to grow and develop. The scary thing is Yazan is really good, but a high ceiling would be even better. If this young star continues to put in that work, his dream will become a reality as he lives it. We will be keeping a close eye on Yazan and update often over the next couple of years.
