Dominic is a prolific three point specialist with a silky smooth touch and unlimited range. Dominic is anything but one dimensional as he is very good at getting to any spot he chooses while playing at his own pace. . Fierce off the bounce and has a nasty pull up on a dime. Dominic is a pure, lethal knockdown shooter. Dominic can drop a nice dime and mix it well on the boards too. Best part is Dominic can play rock solid defense who takes as a personal challenge to lockdown the other team's best player. .Just plain tough and savvy.
This past season at John Adams Middle School Dominic averaged 19.2 per game breaking a single season scoring record and shooting a blistering 45.2% 3 point percentage while leading his team to three-peat middle school champions. The most motivating thing that helped Dominic last year to push himself this year is winning x3 Kanawha County Middle School championships in row. Having that success makes Dominic want to carry that winning tradition to George Washington High School even more. Dominic's goals going into next season are obviously to help his team win a state championship. But a more personal goal would be to be able to get onto the floor and stay on the floor.
Playing AAU for the West Virginia Gold. and averaging 13.2 points during MadeHoops circuit. Dominics goal was to be a leader of their team since it was their first year together while filling whatever role was necessary to win. Dominic certainly helped the team on the first year in the MadeHoops Circuit. Next year for AAU Season Dominic wants to lead WV Gold to win Peach jam and also win the MadeHoops circuit. Dominic's focus areas for improvement would be to better handle the ball under pressure. In AAU, teams like to play hard pressure defense and get up on you so being able to handle the ball as well as making good decisions is something he always works to improve.
What fuels Dominic's fire on the court the most is definitely when the fans of the opposing team start talking. Dominic always fights for his teammates and always wants to always help his team. It makes him play harder and want to win more.
Dominic handles adversity on the court by clearing his mind and blocking everything out. When Dominic is on the court playing he really tries to focus on himself and the team while always trying to focus on the next play.
A coach can expect from Dominic that sets him apart from others is he always listens and gets better from it. A lot of players like to complain and not listen to their coach but Dominic always listens even when he is getting yelled at. Dominic can be coached and always want s to learn determined he won’t make the same mistake twice.
Dominic sees himself playing at the next level and what’s most important to him is definitely the academics.Dominic is an honors student and wants a challenging academic school for science or pre-med. There is great basketball no matter the level so Dominic always sees himself wanting to play at the higher level of basketball but wants to find a school that fits him best and combines great academics and athletics.
My assessment is that Dominic A mid-level d1 potential is certainly within reach and would easily thrive there. Every intangibles a coach dreams of, the total package and Dominic is just getting started. .With the size and strength its and that dawg on both ends floor. The physica play wont throw Dominic off his game.
