Will is a fierce competitor who plays the game with edge, command, and purpose. A true three-level scorer, he can score it from deep, rise into confident pull-ups, or power his way to finishes when defenses collapse. He plays with pace and control, always aware of the moment, always ready to take over when his team needs it most. His high IQ shows in how he gets everyone involved, directing traffic on both ends as a vocal floor general who keeps his team locked in and composed.
Will is averaging 19.1 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game while joining the 2,000-point club, a milestone earned through consistency and competitive fire. Before arriving at Lake Travis, he led the state of Texas in scoring within TAPPS at 27.7 points per game as a sophomore. Now in his first year at Lake Travis competing in 6A UIL, he has easily carried that scoring punch forward, leading his new team while proving his game translates at every level.
His biggest improvement from last season has been playing with more physicality, better pace, and a tighter handle. He continues to focus on increasing foot speed, building strength, and finishing through contact against bigger bodies. On the defensive end, he is committed to growing as an on-ball defender while expanding his leadership presence. Those areas are being trained and developed under Auburn alumni and former European pro Coach Malcolm Canada (@lockedin_mc), a relationship that has helped shape his growth since 2021.
What fires Will up is big-time plays in big-time moments. Doing whatever it takes to help his team win. That mindset was on full display in a statement performance against Bowie, when Lake Travis trailed by double figures. Will flipped the game on its head, exploding for 28 of his 34 points in the second half to power a gritty 68-63 comeback win. He scored it every way, raining shots from deep, attacking gaps with intent, and pulling up with confidence when defenders crowded him. His pace steadied the moment, his scoring shifted momentum, and his leadership carried the team home.
When facing adversity, Will maintains composure, stays calm under pressure, and falls back on his preparation. He trusts the work, controls the moment, and stays focused on the next play. That approach defines who he is: steady, prepared, and built for pressure.
The goal this season is to compete at a high level and lead his team on a deep playoff run. With his scoring ability, leadership, and competitive mindset, Will continues to set the standard every time he steps on the floor.
I assess that Will’s scoring versatility, command of pace, and ability to elevate teammates give a college program a guard who can take control late and handle responsibility on both ends. His experience producing across multiple levels adds immediate value.
Moving forward, expect Will to continue expanding his defensive impact, finishing strength, and leadership presence. With his preparation, confidence, and competitive drive, he will continue to be a high-level guard who thrives when the stakes rise. Stay tuned.
