6’2 , 176lbs, Class of 2028

St. John’s College, Dubbo – New South Wales (Australia)

Cohen is a fierce, electric force with a complete offensive arsenal that makes defenders think twice before stepping up. A true three-level scorer, he can punish from deep, slice through traffic with athletic finishes, or float it softly over bigs. What separates him is the confidence and control he brings in clutch moments; he doesn’t just want the ball when the pressure rises, he demands it. His mix of athleticism, court vision, and on-ball defense makes him one of the most complete guards in his class. Coaches know when he’s on the floor, the game is never out of reach, because he’s built for those defining moments.

This past season, Cohen averaged a jaw-dropping 32.5 points, 4.2 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, numbers that speak loud and clear. His biggest improvement came from efficiency: taking fewer shots but scoring more, proving his accuracy and poise have elevated. In the grand final against the Hawkesbury Jets, he delivered a monster performance, going off for 39 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals, to win the championship. His offseason goals are focused on improving explosiveness, developing a quicker first step, making better pickups against help-side defenders, and mastering an off-dribble three-point shot. His motivation runs deep in competitiveness, using trash talk as fuel to elevate his control, tempo, and finishing touch.

Cohen doesn’t just show up but delivers. In AAU play, he hit his mark by leading the league in scoring as a bottom-age player and guiding his team to a title with 39 points in the grand final. Heading into the next season, he’s determined to go back-to-back as champions and make a serious run at nationals, where he already averaged 29 points per game and led the entire tournament in scoring. When facing adversity, he treats it like a teacher, learning, working harder, and returning better every single time. The best advice he’s received is, "put your head down, grind, and play every possession at game pace".

Off the court, Cohen enjoys laid-back days on his phone or spending time with friends, often building or creating things with his mates, a quiet balance to his fierce on-court energy.

I assess that Cohen’s combination of elite scoring instincts, composure in pressure moments, and defensive drive makes him a player who can change a college program’s entire rhythm. He brings consistency, confidence, and a competitive fire that coaches dream of, and is a proven leader who rises when the lights burn brightest.

Expect Cohen to keep rising as one of Australia’s premier young guards. His athleticism, shot creation, and command of the game give him the potential to be a player whose ceiling is nowhere near reached. As his first step and off-dribble shooting continue to evolve, he’ll transition from rising star to dominant, must-scout prospect capable of impacting games at the highest level.
