There is something special about a young guard who plays with fearless confidence, electric scoring ability, and the kind of competitive fire that refuses to back down from any moment. Rhett is that type of player. An explosive combo guard with a lightning-quick trigger and silky smooth touch from deep, he brings a dangerous scoring punch every time he steps on the floor. Defenders quickly learn that giving him even a sliver of space is a mistake. The moment the ball touches his hands, the defense has to react because Rhett can bring the rain from beyond the arc with effortless range and rhythm.

But limiting him to just a shooter would be a massive mistake. Rhett is a dynamic shot creator who thrives with the ball in his hands. He can explode off the bounce, slice through defenders, and rise into a pull-up middy that freezes defenders in their tracks. His ability to change pace, create separation, and deliver tough buckets makes him incredibly difficult to contain. Whether attacking off the dribble, creating space off a screen, or spotting up from deep, Rhett constantly puts pressure on opposing defenses.

What makes his game even more impressive is his ability to elevate the players around him. Rhett plays the game with the vision and instincts of a true combo guard. He understands how to collapse defenses, draw attention, and open opportunities for teammates. When defenders overplay his scoring ability, he punishes them with smart reads and timely dimes that create open looks for others. That combination of scoring punch and playmaking instincts allows him to impact the game in multiple ways.

Defensively, Rhett brings a competitive edge that fuels his overall game. He embraces the challenge of guarding opposing players and continues to grow on that end of the floor. His energy, awareness, and willingness to compete defensively show the mentality of a player who wants to contribute in every phase of the game. His development has been shaped through training with The Hoop Factory, where the focus on skill development, repetition, and fundamentals has helped him elevate his overall game. The dedication to improving his craft shows in the way he continues adding to his offensive bag and strengthening the defensive side of his game.

His production already speaks loudly for such a young player competing at multiple levels. Rhett averaged 22 points per game on the JV level while also contributing on varsity, where he averaged 3.5 points per game while hitting a blistering 48% from three. Even more importantly, he already has championship experience under his belt as part of a State Championship team. That experience in a winning program at such a young age is something that will continue shaping his development moving forward.

One of the biggest areas of improvement in Rhett’s game has been his ability to hit tough shots under pressure while continuing to develop as a defender. His confidence with the ball in his hands allows him to step into big moments and deliver when his team needs a bucket. At the same time, he knows there is more work to be done. Getting stronger physically and continuing to expand every aspect of his skill set remains a major focus as he pushes toward the next level of development.

Like every athlete chasing greatness, adversity is part of the process. Rhett approaches those difficult moments with the mindset that nothing worth having comes easy. He understands that the grind will test him, but the response is always the same. Keep working, keep pushing, and keep grinding. That mentality is what fuels long-term growth and separates players who continue to rise from those who stall out.

Even this early in his career, Rhett has already started building relationships within the recruiting world. He has been communicating with multiple college programs as coaches begin to take notice of his scoring ability and potential. While no offers have come yet, the interest is beginning to build, and with his continued development and production, it is only a matter of time before more eyes start paying attention.

For a young guard with championship experience, elite shooting ability, and the hunger to keep improving, the foundation is clearly in place. Rhett is just getting started, and the next chapter of his development could very well be the one where his name begins circulating far beyond Utah.

I assess that Rhett brings a dangerous offensive skill set built around elite perimeter shooting and confident shot creation. His ability to stretch the floor with a quick release forces defenses to respect his range, which immediately opens driving lanes and playmaking opportunities. The scoring instincts are natural, and he shows a strong understanding of when to attack and when to create for others. His willingness to compete defensively and continue improving physically adds important layers to his long-term development.

Moving forward, Rhett posted to be a guard whose value will continue to rise as his strength and overall athletic development catch up with his skill level. His ability to score at multiple levels, combined with natural playmaking instincts, gives him the tools to grow into a primary offensive weapon. As he gains more varsity experience and continues expanding his defensive impact, Rhett has the potential to become one of the more dangerous young guards in his class with the type of scoring ability that college programs constantly search for.
