"The Valley Has a New Name at the Top"

Zach Detweiler made history for Loudoun Valley, becoming the Vikings’ all-time leader in both passing yards and passing touchdowns as Valley shut out Rock Ridge 55–0. He passed Nick Kallivokas in both categories, putting his name at the top of two records that reflect the work he's put in and the trust he's earned from his teammates and coaches. The win moved Loudoun Valley to 8–0, giving Zach and the Vikings another reason to celebrate while keeping their focus on the goals still ahead.
Zach has completed 276/439 passes for 4,087 yards and 42 touchdowns. He's added 837 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 111 carries, bringing his combined totals to 4,924 yards and 55 scores. His arm has helped move the Vikings down the field, and his ability to run gives the offense another way to make a play when a defense tries to take away the pass. Those numbers show how much he's contributed, but the record-breaking moment also belongs to the coaches and teammates who have worked with him through every practice and every game.
That's what made the night against Rock Ridge feel so big. Zach reached a personal milestone while his team put together a commanding win, and he made it clear afterward that he was grateful for everyone who helped him get here. Loudoun Valley has more football to play, and Zach is still chasing what this team can accomplish together. His name now stands in Viking history, with another chapter still waiting to be written.
