5’5, 115lbs, Class of 2029

Washington Court House, OH

Luke may be one of the smallest players in the gym, but he plays with the kind of fierce, electric energy that instantly demands attention. He is a rising star with true breakout potential, a dynamic young guard who breathes basketball and lives in the gym like it is home. He refuses to let size define him. Instead, he uses it as fuel to attack defenders with fearless intensity. Luke brings a smooth scoring punch that jumps off the floor, a confident shooter who can let it fly from anywhere on the court whether off the catch, off the dribble, or pulling from deep with no hesitation. When defenders close out too hard, he blows by them, breaks them down in space, and finishes creatively at the rim. He is a firestarter with the ball in his hands, a crafty playmaker who reads the floor and sets up teammates while still being able to take over when the moment calls. At just a freshman, he is already averaging 18.5 points , 5 assists, and multiple steals per game on JV, showcasing a game built for impact.

Luke’s biggest improvements this year come from his expanded playmaking and deeper shooting range, showing he can run an offense with rhythm and still light it up from beyond the arc. His offseason was a turning point. Instead of playing AAU, he stayed in the gym all summer improving his skills, lifting his confidence, and becoming more dangerous as a creator and scorer. Now he goal is to tighten his handles, get stronger, get quicker, and grow as a defender so bigger guards cannot take advantage in the post. He embraces challenges, he embraces the grind and he embraces the trash talk that only makes him play harder. The most impactful growth he experienced came from his own dedication. He pushed himself, trusted his process, and walked into this season with a different fire.

Luke cannot wait to face Miami Trace, a matchup he has circled because competition fuels him. Coaches can expect him to give everything he has every time he touches the floor. He will hit open shots, run an offense, create for others, defend with heart, and do whatever is needed for the team. He is also hungry for varsity minutes next year and is preparing daily to make that leap. When facing adversity, he stays level, keeps his focus, and plays his game. The best advice he has ever received is, "Stay humble, be yourself, and do not let anyone throw you off what you do best".

Off the court Luke is grounded, enjoying time with family and friends, watching basketball, and continuing to build his love for the game. He has attended camps with 270 Hoops, Prep Hoops, and Ohio Dominican to grow his skill set and learn from higher competition. There are no offers yet, but Luke dreams big. He wants to play D1 basketball and eventually go pro. With his mindset, work ethic, and fire, he is giving himself every chance to make that dream real.

I assess that Luke brings a fearless scoring mentality, deep shooting range, and high level playmaking that immediately elevate a team’s offensive flow. His confidence, energy, and court vision strengthen any program looking for a relentless young guard who competes with a full heart and impacts winning in multiple ways.

As Luke continues to get stronger, tighten his handles, and expand his defensive presence, expect a major leap in his game. His drive, passion, and competitive spirit give him the tools to rise quickly. He has breakout potential written all over him and the hunger to reach the next level. Moving forward, his potential to be an exciting guard who will only grow more dangerous with time. Stay tuned.
