6ft, Class of 2028

Anderson County HS, KY

AAU: Lexington Crossover

Emily steps on the floor with a presence that keeps defenses guessing and on edge every second she is out there. She is a player who creates separation, gets to her spots, and keeps coming until something breaks open. Her game is built on toughness, growth, and a steady drive to get better. She is not just looking to make a play; she is looking to make the right one, and that mindset shows up in how she attacks every possession.

Her season told a story that was bigger than numbers. It was about a team nobody believed in, a group labeled young and inexperienced before they ever had a chance to prove anything. But inside that locker room, there was no doubt. They put in the work early, grinding 4 days a week in July with lifting, shooting, and running long before the lights ever came on. When the season started, there was no hesitation. It was all business. That belief carried them through a season where they flipped the narrative and made it clear they were not going anywhere quietly.

Adversity showed up in the moments where things did not go their way, especially early in games or stretches where shots were not falling. For Emily, that revealed something deeper about who she is as a competitor. She stayed locked in and kept pushing, refusing to let one missed opportunity define the next play. That ability to stay grounded and keep competing is what separates players when things get uncomfortable.

The biggest improvement in her game came with her finishing and consistency. Early in the season, she was getting open and making the right moves, but coming up just short at the rim. Instead of letting that linger, she fixed it. That growth showed up when it mattered most, turning those same opportunities into points and giving her team another weapon when the pressure rose.

The postseason was where everything got tested. That first district tournament game brought nerves across the board. With a tradition of 10 straight district titles hanging in the air, nobody wanted to be the group that let that slip. And early on, it looked like things might go the wrong direction with a 17-2 deficit against Woodford. But when the fourth quarter came, something flipped. Down 10 going in, they came out fighting, locked in, and walked out with a win that changed everything. From that moment forward, they carried that momentum, winning the district and pushing all the way to the regional championship game, finishing as runner-up. That stretch showed exactly what they were made of.

When it comes to accomplishments, Emily does not separate herself from her team. That is what matters most to her. Despite being team-driven, the impact and production spoke loud and clear,

30th district tournament MVP,

All 8th region tournament team, and

All 8th region team. The biggest achievement for Emily, though, was proving everyone wrong together. A group that was overlooked turned into a team that made a statement. That does not happen without commitment, belief, and a willingness to work when nobody is watching.

AAU has already started to push her even further. Running with Lexington Crossover and competing at events like the Marble City Invitational showed her just how much more is out there. It was a reminder that there is always another level to reach and no room to settle. That hunger is only growing stronger as she continues to build.

Looking ahead, Emily is focused on proving something that goes beyond stats. She wants coaches to see that no matter what is happening in a game, she is going to compete every single play. Good moments, tough stretches, it does not matter. The effort stays the same. That reliability, paired with her growth and mindset, is what makes her someone you can count on when it matters most.

I assess that Emily brings toughness, resilience, and a team-first mindset that drives winning. Her improvement as a finisher and growing consistency make her a more effective scoring option. She competes through adversity and does not back down when the moment gets big, which adds real value on both ends of the floor.

Emily’s game is rising because of her willingness to improve and her refusal to be satisfied. As her offensive efficiency continues to evolve and her confidence expands, she has the tools to become a dependable impact player. Coaches can expect a competitor who stays engaged, embraces pressure, and gives consistent effort every time she steps on the floor.
