Nicholas is an electric point guard with blow-by speed and limitless shooting range. With a quick release, he can drain shots even under heavy pressure. However, his most lethal weapon is his explosive first step, freeing defenders and allowing him to create instant separation. Nicholas uses that burst to get to any spot on the floor, setting himself up for high-percentage shots or delivering highlight-worthy assists once the defense collapses. His crafty finishes and relentless energy make him a joy to watch, while his hustle ensures he outworks others for rebounds.
Last season, Nicholas averaged 18.1 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds per game. This year, he's taken his game up a notch, posting 20 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds per game. The biggest impingement to his game has been his jump shot, which he’s tirelessly worked on to become more consistent. Nicholas has built a strong basketball resume, including leading his team to a regional championship and nearing the school’s scoring record with 1,531 points and counting—a milestone achieved not through selfish play but with efficiency and team-first basketball.
Nicholas thrives in heated matchups, and no game fires him up more than playing Bardstown, a district rival. Last year, Nicholas’s team beat Bardstown twice, breaking a decade-long drought. He loves the physicality of those games, where referees let the players play freely. With a strong group returning this season, Nicholas feels they’re clicking at the right time and believes his team can make another deep postseason run.
What drives Nicholas is watching his teammates make gritty plays—diving on the floor and locking down defensively. Those moments fuel his passion and create the energy he feeds off. When adversity strikes, Nicholas relies on his defense and ability to create opportunities for others. His strong bond with his coach also helps him navigate tough situations. The best advice Nicholas has received is to remain calm no matter what the circumstances are, a mindset that’s shaped his approach to the game and life.
Outside basketball, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his parents, who have played a huge role in his success. His father, a PGA professional, has passed down a love for golf, which Nicholas plays along with football and basketball. While he’s drawn interest from DI schools, Nicholas is focused on finding the best fit, knowing that hard work and dedication will get him there.
Nicholas’s combination of speed, skill, and athleticism makes him a standout talent who is more than ready to succeed at the next level. His team-first attitude, work ethic, and multi-sport background will be an asset to any program. With his senior season in full swing, the push for Rupp Arena is on, and the school scoring record is well within reach. One thing is clear—whichever team lands, Nicholas will get a competitor ready to make an impact. Stay tuned.
