Owen steps onto the floor with a steady confidence that instantly stands out. His game is built on tough shot-making from beyond the arc and a defensive motor that never takes a possession off. He brings energy, hustle, and a competitive edge that lifts his team every time he checks in. Owen spaces the floor with a smooth, reliable rainmaker from three and takes pride in guarding his opponent with discipline and effort. What separates him is the consistency he brings as a shooter, the way he competes on defense, and the willingness to outwork whoever is in front of him. His approach is to play hard, be dependable, and do whatever it takes to impact winning.
The jump in production tells the story. Last season, Owen came off the bench for a senior-heavy squad and averaged 6 points and 2 assists while gaining valuable varsity experience. That year taught him how to read the game, adjust to the pace, and understand what it truly takes to compete. This season, he has exploded out of the gate, averaging 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals through the first 4 games. His improved strength from the offseason shows every night, allowing him to stay solid on defense and finish plays with more balance and control. Now he is focused on becoming more consistent around the rim and expanding his overall scoring impact.
Owen carries leadership this season with a very young group, where juniors and sophomores dominate the rotation. He believes this team has real potential once they get their missing football guys back and fully settle in together. Independence has beaten Page every year of his high school career, and that matchup is circled as one of his biggest personal goals. His coaches expect relentless effort, and that is exactly what he brings. He plays super hard every game, competes to win, and takes pride in proving people wrong. Owen continues to believe in himself and his teammates and stays grounded in the simple truth that shooters experience slumps, so he keeps firing with confidence.
Off the court, Owen enjoys time with friends and family. He loves getting away to the beach or lake, keeping life balanced while he chases his goals. Recruitment has not begun yet, with zero interests or offers at the moment, but he is hungry to change that narrative as the season continues.
I assess that Owen offers a mix of shooting, tenacious perimeter defense, effort, and steady competitiveness that any college program can appreciate. His work ethic shows in his physical growth, his improved production, and the way he approaches every possession with purpose. He brings floor spacing, defensive activity, and a team-first mindset that can help elevate a system built on toughness and discipline.
As he continues to grow stronger, expand his finishing, and develop as a confident leader for a young roster, Owen is poised to become one of the most dependable guards in his class. His scoring rise is real, his mindset is locked in, and his hunger to prove himself will fuel what comes next. Expect him to keep rising as his confidence grows and his role expands. Stay tuned for this breakout season to continue.
