6'3, Class of 2025

Florida Coastal Prep, FL

Filip has taken a unique path that has helped shape him into the player he is today. The savvy combo guard graduated from Florida Coastal Prep after gaining valuable experience in high-level basketball environments across North America and Europe. He has also competed in pro runs and semi-pro basketball, giving him opportunities to test himself against older, stronger, and more experienced players. Those experiences have helped build a confident, versatile guard whose game is built on playing with pace, making smart decisions, and scoring from all three levels. Filip believes what separates him from other players isn't only his skill set but also his experience consistently competing against professional-level talent while staying composed on both ends of the floor.

This past season continued adding to that experience. Filip competed in semi-pro basketball in Serbia, averaging around 20 points per game while proving he could produce against seasoned competition. He also played against DI-level players, averaging between 15 and 20 points per game, including strong performances at the Virginia Cup in Mississauga, Ontario. Every opportunity gave him another chance to grow while learning how to play through physical defense, faster pace, and tougher matchups. This summer has been built around consistency, spending time in the gym every day, competing whenever possible, and continuing to prepare for the next step in his basketball journey. Rather than chasing attention, Filip has stayed focused on improving his game one workout and one game at a time.

The biggest reason for Filip's strong summer is the work he put in long before anyone saw the results. Playing against older and more physical players has forced him to think the game differently, make quicker decisions, and become much more efficient offensively. Instead of relying on talent alone, he has learned how to let the game come to him, make the right reads, and trust his basketball instincts. That steady growth has allowed him to play with confidence regardless of who faces on the other side.

Looking back over the past year, Filip believes one of his biggest improvements has been becoming more effective without the basketball in his hands. His movement off the ball has improved, his decision-making has become quicker, and he has learned how to create offense using fewer dribbles while staying within the flow of the game. One of his biggest accomplishments has been competing at the semi-pro level in Serbia and proving he could hold his own against experienced players. Adjusting to older, more physical competition early in his career was not easy, but that challenge helped him grow mentally and physically while preparing him for bigger opportunities ahead.

This offseason has been focused on continuing to expand every part of his game. Filip is working hard to make his shot even more consistent, add strength, and become a tougher defender. His goals are to continue developing into a reliable combo guard capable of playing at both the college and professional levels. Every workout has a purpose, and every improvement brings him one step closer to those goals.

The behind-the-scenes work has become the foundation of Filip's success. His days are built around skill workouts, weight training, conditioning, film study, and game-speed repetitions that prepare him for real competition. He also makes it a priority to compete against strong players as often as possible because he believes that is one of the fastest ways to continue improving. That daily commitment has helped shape the consistency that continues showing up in games.

When Filip faces well-known or highly ranked players, his mindset never changes. He does not step onto the floor intimidated by reputations or rankings. Instead, he sees every matchup as another opportunity to prove himself while staying focused on making the right basketball plays. He trusts the work he has put in and believes preparation gives him the confidence to compete against anyone.

Coaches can expect a player who brings effort, discipline, and consistency every time he steps onto the court. Filip competes on both ends, plays with energy, makes smart decisions, and is willing to do whatever the team needs to win. Whether he is scoring, defending, moving without the ball, or making the extra pass, he understands winning basketball comes from doing the little things every possession.

As Filip continues moving forward, expect him to keep building on everything he has learned over the past few years. His experience against high-level competition, commitment to daily improvement, and steady approach to the game have positioned him for another strong step in his basketball journey. With his work ethic and willingness to keep growing, his best basketball is still ahead of him.

Filip is a versatile combo guard who impacts the game with scoring, decision-making, and a calm approach under pressure. His ability to score from all three levels, play with pace, and make smart reads allows him to fit into different styles of play. His experience against older competition has helped mature his game while giving him confidence in high-level situations.

Filip continues to rise because he understands that consistent work produces consistent results. His improved movement without the ball, stronger decision-making, and experience competing against semi-pro and professional-level players have helped raise the level of his game. With his discipline, competitive mindset, and team-first approach, Filip has the tools to continue earning opportunities at the next level.
