Sammy brings a smooth, confident style of play that makes him tough to slow down once he gets into rhythm. He plays under control, makes smart decisions with the basketball, and takes pride in making the right play every time he steps on the court. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to score the ball at a high level, especially with his shooting touch, but he also understands how to create opportunities for others and keep an offense flowing. Playing off two feet gives him great balance, helping him stay under control while making plays around the basket or finding the open teammate. His confidence, steady approach, and willingness to keep attacking make him a player defenses always have to account for.

Sammy enjoyed a strong high school season as he helped lead his team to a 15-7 record while averaging 20.1 points and 5 assists per game. His ability to score while creating opportunities for teammates made him one of the biggest reasons for his team's success throughout the year. That momentum carried right into the AAU season with Team Chemistry, where the team has continued winning multiple tournaments while competing against high-level competition. Sammy has earned several tournament MVP awards along the way, including the Big Shots 17U Slam All-Tournament MVP, showing his ability to rise to the occasion when the competition gets tougher. With more high-level events still ahead this July, he continues looking forward to testing himself against some of the best players around.

The biggest improvement in Sammy's game this past year has been his ball handling. Countless hours in the gym have helped him become more confident with the basketball in his hands, allowing him to create better scoring opportunities and make plays under pressure. At the same time, he has grown mentally by learning how to fight through difficult moments instead of allowing them to affect the next play. That combination of skill development and mental growth has helped him become a more complete player.

One of the biggest lessons Sammy learned came from dealing with expectations. There were games when people expected huge performances, and on a few occasions things simply didn't go his way. Instead of letting those games hurt his confidence, he learned to use them as motivation. He now looks at every tough performance as a chance to learn, improve, and come back stronger instead of seeing it as failure. That mindset has helped him continue moving forward and growing both as a player and as a person.

The work behind the scenes continues long after the games are over. Sammy spends his offseason in the weight room building strength and quickness while also putting in countless hours on the court working on his overall game and adding new moves to his offensive package. Every workout is done with purpose as he continues chasing his goals of playing college basketball, winning a district championship, and becoming the best player he can be.

Every time Sammy steps on the floor, his confidence and competitive fire help fuel his game. The energy from the crowd pushes him even harder, and he enters every game believing he can compete with anyone. That belief allows him to play aggressively while giving everything he has for his team from the opening tip until the final buzzer.

Coaches know exactly what they are getting with Sammy every time he checks into a game. As another season approaches, Sammy is determined to prove he belongs at the next level while helping his team chase big goals. He wants to continue growing as a player, earn the attention of college coaches, win games, and help his teammates achieve those same dreams along the way.
