Chase is a guard whose game is finally starting to open up as the work, belief, and opportunity all come together at the right time. He’s a smooth spot-up shooter from deep, a creator who looks to get teammates involved, and a player who brings steady energy when he checks in. His strength is his perimeter shooting, where he can heat up quickly and punish defenses that lose track of him. He is honest about the areas he’s still evolving, like handling pressure, finishing tough layups, and staying strong in fast break traffic. But the part that makes him easy to believe in is how willing he is to work, adjust, and grow into the player he wants to become.

Last season, he averaged around 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists, limited by minutes and opportunity. This year has a completely different feel. Chase is starting, his confidence is rising, and he is now averaging around 11 points per game. His most recent game showed exactly where his progress is heading when he hit 4 threes, a sign of how his shooting is beginning to carry real weight in games. That improvement didn’t happen overnight. The transfer to Samuel Everett was one of the biggest decisions of his life, leaving behind friends and a comfort zone for the sport he loves. That move pushed him, stretched him, and helped open a door for him to step into a bigger role and finally show what he can bring.

Chase is the type of player coaches love having in their locker room. He plays with the right attitude, brings energy the moment he steps onto the floor, and gives everything he has until he’s subbed out. He looks forward to rivalry battles, especially William Blount, but his main focus is on developing his feel for the floor and becoming a guard who understands the game at a deeper level. He wants to take his career into college and knows exactly what kind of growth it will take to make that dream possible.

Pregame speeches, the energy in the locker room, and bonding with teammates fuel him. He plays for the guys beside him, not just himself. When facing adversity, he takes a quiet moment with God, finds calm, and resets. That mindset is a huge part of how he keeps pushing forward. The coaching advice that stays with him is, "If shots aren’t falling, impact the game somewhere else. Defend, hustle, communicate, do all the things that help the team win."

Off the court, he enjoys hanging with friends and stepping away from basketball when he needs a breath. Chase has no offers or solid interest yet, but he’s completely open to any program willing to see something in him. He knows there is untapped potential still waiting to break through.

I assess that Chase brings shooting, effort, and an attitude that fits well in a development-focused college program. His ability to stretch the floor, stay active on defense, and play with full effort gives him a strong base to build from.

As he improves his handles, his finishing, and grows his confidence game by game, Chase is positioned for a true breakout senior year. His direction is trending upward, and with consistent growth, he can become a dependable guard who impacts games with shooting, toughness, and a team-first mentality. Stay tuned.
