Nekeyma Martin is not the type of player who needs a long introduction because his game starts doing the talking almost immediately. At first glance, the size jumps out. Then the athleticism grabs your attention. A few possessions later, it becomes clear that what makes him such a dangerous young star is how many different ways he can impact a game. While most players his age are still trying to figure out exactly who they are on the floor, Nekeyma already shows flashes of a complete and versatile weapon capable of impacting every possession. The rising sophomore from Florida is rapidly becoming one of those names that college coaches, scouts, and basketball fans are going to hear more and more often because the foundation is already there and the ceiling continues to rise.

Standing at 6’5 with crazy athletic ability, Nekeyma has physical gifts that simply cannot be taught. He glides through the open floor with long strides, attacks space with confidence, and turns transition plays into highlight reel before defenses have time to react. What makes him even more dangerous is that he doesn't rely solely on athleticism to create production. He showcases an efficient shooting touch that forces defenders to respect him beyond the arc, and once they close out too aggressively, he has the handles, body control, and explosiveness to make them pay. His ability to create separation off the bounce opens up scoring opportunities for himself while also creating opportunities for teammates, making him much more than a scorer looking for shots.

As his game continues to evolve, the playmaking side becomes more impressive. Nekeyma shows the vision and passing instincts to make reads that players his age don't see yet. Whether it is dropping a dime ahead in transition, finding a cutter slipping behind the defense, or creating opportunities after drawing multiple defenders, he consistently shows an understanding of how to impact winning beyond just scoring. I assess that Nekeyma possesses a rare blend of length, athleticism, scoring ability, and playmaking instincts that immediately separates him from many players his age. His ability to thrive in transition, create offense off the bounce, finish above the rim, and stretch defenses with efficient shooting gives him tremendous versatility. The continued growth in his decision-making, shot creation, and overall feel for the game says there is still plenty of potential for development, which makes his long-term outlook exciting.
