Some players simply keep stacking work in silence until their game becomes impossible to ignore. Collin is starting to enter that category. The versatile guard continues to build momentum because of how he competes, defends, attacks bigger matchups, and impacts winning every time he steps on the floor.

Collin describes himself as a player who brings a competitive edge every possession while making plays that help his team win. That mindset shows up quickly when watching him play because he doesn’t chase empty moments or force the spotlight onto himself. His game revolves around toughness, effort, smart decisions, and doing whatever the moment requires to help his team compete.

This past high school season at Round Rock tested him mentally in ways many players struggle to handle. Due to injury, Collin’s season became more limited than he hoped for, and the playing time wasn’t always there consistently. Instead of allowing frustration to pull him backward, he stayed mentally locked in and continued preparing for the next opportunity ahead. One of his favorite moments from the season came during Round Rock’s playoff win over Lake Travis to advance to the area round. Those moments mattered because they reminded him exactly what competing in meaningful basketball feels like.

That adversity ended up fueling major improvements heading into AAU season. Collin says one of the biggest areas that has taken a step forward is his aggressiveness on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he’s playing with more confidence, taking more shots, and trusting his game instead of hesitating. Defensively, he’s embracing tougher assignments and showing he can battle against bigger opponents without backing down. Those moments have become some of the clearest signs his game is beginning to climb to another level.

Now running with RXT Hoops on the G1 Series presented by GASO, Collin has embraced the challenge of playing stronger competition throughout the spring and summer. Every weekend has brought another opportunity to elevate his game while testing himself against talented players from all over. The increased confidence has started showing up clearly, too, especially during games where he’s been more assertive offensively while still bringing the same nonstop effort defensively.

One thing standing out more and more is how comfortable Collin looks competing physically against bigger players. That willingness to embrace contact, defend tougher matchups, and stay aggressive without shying away says a lot about his mentality moving forward. Confidence changes everything for players, and Collin’s confidence is steadily climbing with every opportunity.

Off the floor, he’s attacking things with the same seriousness. Carrying a 3.7 GPA while balancing basketball, recruiting, applications, and school responsibilities speaks volumes about his discipline and maturity. His goals moving forward are simple but powerful. He wants scholarship opportunities, continued recruiting attention, and to continue proving his game belongs at the college level. Those goals are already beginning to turn into reality, too, as Collin currently holds offers from Bethel College, Louisiana Christian University, Fort Lauderdale University, and Howard Payne University.

When college coaches come to watch Collin, they’re going to get maximum effort every single possession. They’re going to see a player that competes hard, embraces physical basketball, continues improving offensively, and plays with toughness that impacts winning. Most importantly, they’re going to see somebody who never stops working, regardless of circumstances or adversity placed in front of him.

I assess that Collin is a competitive guard that brings toughness, effort, and versatility to the floor every game. His increased aggressiveness offensively, combined with his willingness to defend bigger players, gives him strong value on both ends. His confidence continues growing, and that confidence is beginning to unlock more layers of his overall game.

Collin’s mentality and work ethic stand out immediately. Players that battle through adversity, stay patient, and continue improving often make major jumps once opportunities fully open up. His physical approach defensively, improved offensive confidence, and ability to compete against strong competition on the G1 circuit all point toward continued development ahead. As he keeps expanding his offensive game and building confidence, Collin has the tools to continue attracting attention at the next level. Stay tuned.
