Caleb has quietly put together a season that demands attention, and continues to prove he is one of those guards who can impact the game in every phase when the lights come on. A crafty combo guard with size, strong on handles, and a lethal shooting touch, Caleb brings a complete offensive bag that keeps defenders guessing and constantly on their heels. He can stretch the floor with confidence, attack off the bounce when lanes open, or rise up with that smooth midsy that punishes defenders who give him space. Add in his ability to mix it up on the boards, deliver dazzling dimes, and bring fierce defensive intensity, and you get a player who stuffs the stat sheet while making winning plays.

What makes Caleb such a dangerous weapon is his ability to score from every level of the floor. As a true three-level scorer, he looks to get his shot going first, but his feel for the game allows him to read defenses and make the right pass when teammates get open. His vision and court vision allow him to keep the offense flowing, while his strong ball-handling lets him create his own shot or break down defenders off the bounce.

The numbers from this past season show just how much his game has elevated. After averaging 16 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4 assists the year before, Caleb exploded in this season with 22.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4 assists per game while shooting an impressive 49 percent from the field, 38 percent from three, and 72 percent from the line. On the defensive side, he added 2.6 steals per game, constantly jumping passing lanes and turning defense into transition offense, where he thrives in the open floor.

One of the biggest improvements in his game has been his three-point shooting. That added consistency from deep has forced defenses to extend further out, opening driving lanes and allowing him to attack downhill even more effectively. At the same time, he continues to focus on improving his ball handling against aggressive defenders and developing better balance so he can stay under control no matter how much pressure the defense throws his way.

A moment that really stuck with Caleb this season came when a coach challenged him to reduce his turnovers. He responded immediately, locking in and cutting his turnovers per game in half. That ability to listen, adjust, and improve shows the kind of mindset that allows players to keep leveling up their game.

Caleb plays with a competitive edge that only grows stronger when the moment gets intense. Trash talk from opponents only fuels his fire, pushing him to lock down defensively and attack downhill with purpose on offense. He takes pride in making the winning plays, whether that means hitting the right shot, making the right read, or guarding the other team's top scorer. When the game is on the line, he wants the responsibility.

When facing adversity, Caleb relies on composure and sound decision-making. Instead of rushing the moment, he slows the pace down and looks to create a long offensive possession so his team can regroup and regain control. That ability to settle the game in tense situations shows a level of maturity that coaches value in a leader on the floor.

The best advice he has ever received came from a coach who told him to control what he can control. Not worrying about missed shots or calls from the officials allows him to play freely with a clear mind while staying focused on winning the next possession.

Next season already has a powerful sense of anticipation around it. With nearly the entire roster returning, Grantsburg will bring back a senior-heavy group with plenty of experience, and Caleb is excited to lead that charge. His personal goals include winning conference player of the year honors and earning All-State Division 4 recognition while pushing his team toward even greater success.

Off the court, Caleb enjoys spending time with family and friends, takes pride in being a leader in his school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and also competes as a varsity athlete in both football and baseball for the Pirates. That multi-sport background has helped shape his competitiveness and athletic versatility.

Another milestone this season added even more to his growing résumé as Caleb officially joined the 1,1000-point Club, a testament to the countless hours he has put into his craft and the impact he has made for his team throughout his career. Reaching that mark is a big-time accomplishment, but the journey is far from finished.

College programs have already started showing interest, including conversations with UW-RiverFalls, St. Scholastica, and McHenry County College in Illinois, and as his game continues to grow, that list will likely keep growing.

I assess that Caleb brings a combination of size, scoring versatility, and competitive fire that allows him to impact the game in multiple ways. His ability to score at all three-levels while also rebounding, creating for teammates, and disrupting passing lanes makes him a complete guard who can affect every possession.

As Caleb continues tightening his handles against pressure and sharpening his balance and shot creation, his overall game will become even more dangerous. With his scoring ability, defensive instincts, and leadership mentality, he has the tools to impact a college program as a guard who can stretch the floor, create offense, and bring intensity on both ends.
