Korbyn is an electric triple threat shooter with a quick pull -up punisher. Korbyn is explosive off the bounce with fierce handles , good speed , and crafty in his bag to blow by defenders or the quick pull-up on a dime , plainly a master of creating his own shots. But Korybn is anything but one dimensional, but has a strong all round game . Korbyn has a high IQ, really good court vision , and is a a true point guard that facilitates for others when the defense is focusing on him , but can dominate himself when necessary. Korbyn has speed and is a master of controlling the tempo of the game. Korbyn brings a lot of energy and passion to the game and his defense has improved a lot . Not to mention Korbyn displays athleticism and has a strong side as well.
This past season Korbyn averaged 7 points, 2 assist and 2 rebounds as a starter playing with McDonald's All American Flory Bidunga and another Indiana All-Star .
The most motivating thing that Korbyn takes to heart and uses to push himself forward is losing the Regional championship game with his seniors and wanting to win for them. There are big changes/adjustments for the WildKats this season without Flory and Karson, and Korbyn will be taking on a major role, being a leader and a star caliber player while showing his skill set and ability to continue the winning culture for the program.
Playing AAU for Michael Redd Elite 3SSB Korbyn 's goals were to win most of their games, continue to improve and have fun with the guys on his team while focusing om improve on are moving without the ball, getting to his spot, shooting efficiency and becoming more of a leader, as he is taking on a bigger role now at Kokomo this coming season.
The fuel to Korbyn's fire on the court is intensity and energy. Korbyn truly loves the game and I perform best at a fast pace- pushing the ball up the court and full court press.
Korbyn has encountered adversity quite a bit in his years of playing. But most of all, last year when Korbyn moved schools and had to learn and adjust to a whole new system. Korbyn is coachable and an unselfish player. When things don’t go Korbyn's way on the court he tries not to get in his head and use it as an opportunity for growth and preparing mentally for these times. Korbyn tries not to let pressure get to him and overcome it by focusing on the game and the love have for it! When you approach the game as having fun and giving complete effort those mental barriers can’t interfere.
One thing that sets Korbyn apart is he has a very high IQ of the game. Tremendous court vision and I work hard to make the team better in whatever way he can. Kryron himself is a High Major D1 player and that has been his goal since he was young. Korbyn's first Division 1 Mid Major offer from Eastern Michigan and has a handful of interest from others.Kryon is just getting started as his work and potential will continue to show this next season.
My assessment is the D1 offers will continue to roll in as Kryon becomes that dude out there leading the team with passion and purpose to let all his skills and hard work guide the way.
