Benton is a patient, smart, and versatile player who already looks the part of a future star. His ability to score on all three levels makes him a constant problem for defenders, whether finishing through contact at the rim, pulling up in the midrange, or stepping back to rain shots from deep. What separates him is the way he reads defenses and makes the right play at the right time. He doesn’t rush; he dictates. Add in his rebounding, defensive presence, and ability to stay poised under pressure, and Benton gives his coaches the kind of player they can always depend on.

While Benton doesn’t have official high school stats yet as a freshman, he’s already proven he belongs under the bright lights. As an 8th grader, he made his mark in the district tournament, playing with poise and confidence that earned him a spot on the All-District Team. That stage became the spark, sharpening his ball-handling, strengthening his patience, and teaching him how to command the tempo against pressure. By learning to protect the ball and make the right play in big moments, Benton built the foundation of a player ready to step into varsity competition and immediately make an impact.

Coaches can count on Benton for 100% effort every time he steps on the floor. He plays with composure, feeds off competition, and lets his game speak for itself whenever words are spoken his way. His mindset is to do whatever the team needs to win. At the @NextUpRecruits Camp, he validated that approach in dominant fashion, standing out as one of the most impressive freshmen in the building. Benton scored at all three levels, rebounded with authority, pushed the pace in transition, and used his IQ to create both for himself and others. His patience, poise, and versatility shined in a loaded gym, and his ability to control tempo showed a maturity well beyond his years.

Benton is looking forward to his freshman season at Logan High School, ready to step onto the varsity stage and help his team make another regional run. He wants to grow into a player who can be counted on in every moment, while pursuing his long-term dream of playing DI basketball. Off the court, he enjoys biking, spending time with family and friends, cheering on classmates, and even making stops at Sonic for cheese sticks and Ocean Water, a ritual that fuels his fire.
