Mikey is the kind of guard who can shift the entire pulse of a game the moment the ball touches his hands. Smooth, confident, and fearless, he mixes creativity with control in a way that keeps defenders on their heels and teammates energized. He is crafty with the ball, possesses elite handles, and uses his bounce to rise above defenders for electric finishes. A pure three-level scorer with a smooth touch from deep, Mikey can hit shots in rhythm, attack off the dribble, or set up his teammates with effortless dimes. His ability to impact every possession while keeping his composure makes him one of the most exciting young playmakers in Kentucky.

As a sophomore, Mikey averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 4 rebounds per game, proving his consistency and leadership under pressure. His athleticism and versatility have grown tremendously, giving him the strength and explosiveness to finish through contact and attack the rim with purpose. During high school summer competition, he was sensational, averaging 19.3 points and 7 assists through 14 games while guiding LaRue County to an impressive 12- 2 record during this stretch. One of his best games came in a win over Metcalfe County, where he recorded 26 points and 10 assists while keeping the offense flowing like clockwork.

Mikey also showcased his skill and poise on the UAA and UA Rise Circuit with the STARS, going head-to-head against elite national competition and playing in front of major college coaches. His confidence and control on that stage reflected his maturity beyond his age. This offseason, his focus is on mastering how to read defenses and make split-second decisions that turn good plays into great ones. Coaches can always expect hustle, leadership, and a team-first approach every time he steps on the court.

The fire that drives him burns brightest when challenged. Mikey thrives on competition, embracing intensity and letting trash talk fuel his motivation rather than distract him. When facing adversity, he meets it head-on with calm determination, trusting in his preparation and inner belief. He never backs down, never lets up, and always competes with pride. His best coaching advice came from a message he lives by daily, that the work done in silence is what shines when the lights come on.

Now, as the STARS officially join the UAA circuit, Mikey is ready to face the best in the nation. His vision for this season is to lead LaRue County to a regional championship and earn his moment under the lights at Rupp Arena. With his mix of confidence, intelligence, and tireless drive, he is positioning himself as one of the most complete guards in his class.

Off the court, Mikey values his time with family and friends, relaxing, enjoying good food, and playing guitar. His balanced mindset and humility keep him grounded no matter how bright the spotlight becomes.

Faith is the center of everything in Mikey’s life. His love for God defines the way he plays, lives, and carries himself every single day. Every success and every setback has strengthened his belief that God’s plan is greater than his own. In his words, “Dear God, I am thankful for all of my ups, but beyond thankful for my downs. I could not have made myself into the person I am now without the challenges you have put me through. I am so blessed to say I am a child of God, and everything I accomplish in the game of basketball is nothing more than me taking advantage of the gifts that you have blessed me with. I will always give you the glory and praise.” His game and his gratitude are reflections of that faith, and he gives all glory to the One who made it possible.

I assess that Mikey’s combination of athleticism, vision, and pure feel for the game makes him a special kind of guard. His ability to score at all three levels while creating for others adds dimension to any system he joins. Coaches will find a natural leader with unselfish instincts, composure under pressure, and the relentless work ethic to elevate every team he touches.
