Notre Dame Cathedral Latin (NDCL), OH

Jack is a natural weapon on the floor, armed with a pure jump shot that demands constant defensive attention and explosive hops that separate him from his peers. He can stretch defenses with a lethal three-point touch, finish above the rim with force, and control the glass with his length and vertical explosiveness. His defensive instincts make him a rim protector, while his vision and IQ ensure he makes the right play, whether it’s hitting a shot, attacking a mismatch, or setting up a teammate. Coaches can expect: smart decisions, efficient execution, and a competitor who leaves everything on the floor.

This past season tested him like no other. After being sidelined by injury, Jack was forced to watch from the sidelines and confront the importance of recovery and discipline. Instead of breaking him, it reshaped him. He has taken recovery seriously, stretching daily, caring for his body, and fueling his return stronger than before. His offseason work shows it as he added eight pounds of muscle, improved his speed, and sharpened his first step to blow by defenders. Now, his ability to attack the basket with physicality matches his elite shooting, making him even more difficult to contain.

Adversity taught him the value of patience and the importance of short memory. He plays with the perspective that basketball is temporary, and each opportunity on the floor must be cherished. That urgency fuels his intensity, pushing him to attack every rep, every play, and every game like it could be his last. For Jack, it isn’t about perfection but about playing as hard as possible and trusting the preparation he’s put in. That lesson, passed down from his coach, has been the cornerstone of his comeback.

He’s hungry to make history again with NDCL after helping set the school record for wins last season. The goal now is to push deeper into the playoffs and leave his stamp on the program. Off the court, he enjoys fishing and pickleball, two passions that reflect the same patience and competitive spirit he carries onto the court.

I assess that Jack’s resilience and growth through recovery make him an invaluable piece for any program. His shooting ability forces defenses to stretch, while his rebounding, shot-blocking, and attacking strength make him a complete two-way threat. His basketball IQ and trust in making the right play elevate his impact well beyond scoring, giving coaches a dependable leader who can adapt and deliver in high-pressure moments.

The comeback has reignited Jack’s game and sharpened his edge. With added muscle, improved speed, and a renewed sense of urgency, he is positioned to take on a starring role for NDCL and continue rewriting school history. Expect him to step into the next season with confidence, passion, and fire as a player ready to rise above adversity and build a future defined by both skill and resilience. Stay tuned as this comeback story unfolds and this young star pushes through for a breakout season ahead.
