He plays fast but under control, attacks the basket with confidence, finishes through contact, defends with purpose, rebounds with toughness, and looks to get his teammates involved every chance he gets. Whether it is diving on the floor for loose balls, making hustle plays that never show up on the stat sheet, or locking down an opponent on the defensive end, Tayvion takes pride in doing whatever it takes to help his team win. His coachable attitude, high motor, and willingness to embrace the dirty work are what separate him and make him the type of player teammates love playing with.

One of the biggest steps in Tayvion's development came with the jump from junior varsity to varsity basketball. The speed of the game was completely different, forcing him to adjust to a much faster pace while still making smart decisions. That challenge became one of his greatest improvements as he learned how to play at full speed without losing control. Instead of letting the moment overwhelm him, he embraced it, growing more comfortable, more confident, and more effective every time he stepped on the floor. That experience helped shape him into a more complete player who now understands how to make an impact on both ends of the court.

Not every lesson came easily during the season. Tayvion battled through coaching politics, knowing there were times when certain players received opportunities that he felt he had to earn the hard way. Rather than allowing frustration to take over, he used it as motivation. He learned that the only thing he can truly control is his own work ethic, and that mindset continues to fuel him every day. Instead of focusing on things outside of his control, he made the decision to outwork everyone around him and let his game speak for itself.

This offseason has been all about becoming a more dangerous shooter. Tayvion has made improving his three-point shot his biggest priority with the goal of shooting better than 40 percent from beyond the arc this season. He knows that adding consistency will make him even tougher to defend and open up every other part of his game. Along with becoming a more complete offensive player, one of his biggest goals is to earn college interest and ultimately receive an opportunity to play at the next level, no matter the division. For him, it is about proving that relentless work and determination can open doors.

Tayvion spends his time working on ball-handling, finishing through contact, and keeping his middy sharp while he continues building confidence in every area of his offensive attack. Behind every workout is a deeper purpose that means far more than basketball. The memory of his father, who was his biggest supporter before passing away before Tayvion ever played his first high school game, continues to drive him every single day. That motivation pushes him through difficult workouts, tough moments, and every challenge he faces because he wants to honor the person who always believed in him.

As the new season approaches, Tayvion wants fans to expect relentless energy, fast-paced basketball, great defensive stops, and a player who refuses to back down from any challenge. He wants to be part of winning basketball and bring the same passion and intensity every time he steps on the court. His focus is not just on putting up numbers but on making winning plays that help his team succeed.

Every coach can expect maximum effort, positive energy, outstanding body language, and a player who is willing to be coached every single day. Tayvion understands that talent alone is never enough, and he believes being dependable, coachable, and willing to outwork everyone else are just as important as anything he does with the basketball in his hands.

I assess that Tayvion's greatest strengths begin with his nonstop motor and toughness. He impacts games with his defense, hustle, rebounding, transition play, and willingness to do the little things that many players overlook. As his perimeter shot continues to improve, his ability to score at all three levels will make his complete game even more dangerous.
