Jax brings a fierce, fast, and physical style of football that makes him one of the most productive defenders on the field. What separates him from other linebackers isn't just how hard he hits, but how quickly he sees everything developing before the play unfolds. Hours of film study have elevated his vision and football IQ, allowing him to recognize formations, diagnose plays in a hurry, and attack with confidence. His explosive closing speed, relentless motor, and instinctive playmaking allow him to arrive at the football in a flash, making life difficult for offenses every Friday night.

His junior season was loaded with production as he piled up 112 total tackles, including 57 solo stops and 55 assists, while adding 14 tackles for loss, a sack, 8 quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, and 2 pass deflections. His outstanding year earned him All-Region, All-County, and the Cochise County Tackling Fuel Award, but the numbers only tell part of the story. One of his favorite memories came against his team's biggest rival when the defense delivered a dramatic goal-line stand to seal the win. With time running out, Jax teamed up with his brother to record a tackle for loss that helped preserve the win, creating a moment he will never forget. While the awards and stats were rewarding, the biggest accomplishment was watching the defense come together when everything was on the line.

Jax believes one of his biggest improvements has been transforming his body. He has continued to become bigger, stronger, and faster, and that growth has carried over onto the field. Even after an impressive season, he has refused to become satisfied. This offseason, he has added another 25 pounds while continuing to improve his speed, explosiveness, flexibility, and overall athleticism through countless hours of strength training and plyometric work. The biggest challenge last season came from battling through a schedule filled with Arizona's toughest 5A programs while injuries tested the depth of the team. Coming from a smaller community and lining up against powerhouse programs from Phoenix and Tucson only strengthened his confidence and toughness.

Before every snap, Jax is already working several steps ahead. He studies the offensive formation, gets his defense lined up correctly, makes any necessary checks, and immediately begins narrowing down what plays are most likely coming. His triangle read from the guard to the back allows him to react without hesitation, helping him play fast while putting himself in position to make impact plays. His preparation during the week makes those split-second decisions come naturally once the game begins.

The work that happens long before Friday nights is what fuels his success. Jax spends countless hours in the weight room because that is where he believes games are truly won. Most of his free time revolves around training, pushing himself physically, and finding another way to improve. Whether he is lifting, increasing his speed, or working on mobility, he attacks every workout with the same determination he brings onto the football field.

This upcoming season brings a new challenge with a large senior class graduating, but Jax has embraced the opportunity to become one of the team's leaders. As one of the few returning starters, he understands the responsibility that comes with setting the standard every day. While many people may expect the Colts to take a step backward, he sees something completely different. He believes a powerful offensive line, talented group of juniors, and a new system under a new head coach will allow the team to surprise plenty of people. Personally, his goals are just as high as he wants to lead the region in tackles, earn Defensive Regional Player of the Year honors, and continue chasing his dream of playing at the next level.

Jax knows earning that opportunity will take more than talent alone. He believes continuing to work hard, leading the players around him, and letting his film speak for itself will separate him from everyone else. His attention remains locked on making his senior season his best one yet because he believes everything else will take care of itself if he handles his business every single day.

Coaches can expect a player who gives maximum effort from the opening whistle until the final snap. They can count on Jax to do his job, lead by example, prepare the right way, and bring relentless energy every time he steps onto the field. His teammates know they can depend on him, and his opponents know they will have to earn every yard with him standing in the middle of the defense.

I assess that Jax is an instinctive linebacker whose combination of football IQ, physical play, and nonstop effort allows him to impact games in every phase of the defense. His preparation, toughness, and leadership have already made him one of the top defensive players in his area, and his continued physical development raises his ceiling even higher heading into his senior season.

Jax has built himself into a dynamic defensive cornerstone who consistently finds the football and finishes plays. His ability to recognize formations, communicate with teammates, embrace responsibility, and attack every opportunity with purpose gives him everything needed to produce another outstanding season while drawing even more attention from college programs. Stay tuned.
