Burton plays the game with a fierce, scrappy fire that refuses to fade. He is an undersized guard with a huge motor and a fearless edge, the kind of player who never stops pressing, chasing, and impacting the flow of a game. He stuffs the stat sheet because he touches every part of the floor. He sees the court with a high IQ, drops dazzling passes, digs into opponents as a tenacious defender, and mixes it up on the boards like a bigger player. He can score it when needed, facilitate at a high level, and shoot the three with a beautiful touch. In transition, he becomes a true diamond, pushing pace and creating instant momentum.

Last season he averaged 9 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, showing exactly how active and productive he can be. This season, he has come out swinging with a strong four-game start. Against McEwen he opened with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Then he delivered 13 points, 12 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals in a dominant win over Montgomery Central. His third game brought 17 points, 3 steals, 2 assists, and a perfect 3 of 3 from the free throw line. He followed that with 15 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 rebounds in a win over Greenbrier. He does exactly what he said he does whatever the team needs and he does it with heart.

Burton is working on becoming a more efficient scorer and hitting outside shots at a higher clip. He is growing mentally, learning to be a steady leader, and continuing to sharpen his decision-making. East Robertson and White House Heritage are the matchups he is hungry for. Coaches can expect 110 percent from him at all times and a guard who knows how to make winning plays. His dream is to play college basketball and he is pushing himself every day to earn that opportunity. Defense fuels him. Adversity does not shake him because he stays calm and mature when the game gets tight. The best advice he carries is, " take what the defense gives you".

He has played AAU ball and gained valuable experience competing at a fast pace. Off the court, Burton loves bowling and taking care of animals on his family farm, two things that keep him centered and happy. He does not yet hold any offers, but he is pursuing that next-level opportunity with everything he has.

I assess that Burton brings energy, instincts, and production that any college program can value. His ability to defend aggressively, create for others, and stay active on the glass gives him a unique impact for his size. His motor and effort set a tone that lifts teammates and changes the flow of games.

As he continues to grow as a leader, hit outside shots consistently, and sharpen his scoring efficiency, Burton has the tools to rise quickly. His work ethic, versatility, and fearless approach create a strong path forward. Expect him to keep climbing as he pushes for the college opportunity he has set his heart on. Stay tuned.
