Central Baptist

Jason steps onto the floor like a spark ready to catch fire at any moment, bringing the kind of impact that jumps off the page the second the ball touches his hands. This explosive 3-point and 3D weapon thrives as a two-way tone setter, locking into his defensive stance with purpose while confidently looking for shots within the flow of the offense. His length, frame, and energy allow him to guard multiple spots, and when he shifts into attack mode, he becomes a fierce scorer who can heat up instantly. Coaches should know they’re getting a high motor, high effort, and a competitor who embraces every possession. His game is fueled by family pride and an inner drive that shows in the way he sprints the floor, talks on defense, and brings intensity that elevates the whole roster.

This season, Jason has already delivered statement performances, but none bigger than Central Baptist’s recent upset of powerhouse John Brown, where he exploded for 34 points while going 5 for 9 from deep. It was a statement in confidence and rhythm, showing exactly how dangerous he becomes when his jumper is locked in. Add in his strong 19-point, 5-rebound, 2-assist game against Blue Mountain Christian, and the picture becomes clear that he’s evolving into an offensive threat who can dominate stretches of a game. His biggest improvement has been on the defensive end, where he’s turned into a reliable stopper with a mindset built on toughness. Now he’s locked in on adding a back-to-the-basket game to become even more versatile. He carries the experience of knocking off two ranked teams last year and uses that confidence every time he steps into a big stage. And there’s already major excitement building for his upcoming matchup against Freed, a game that hits home for the Jackson native. That gym is going to be packed, loud, and ready just the way he wants it.

Jason’s fire comes from family. He thinks about them every time he steps on the court, and that connection drives him to perform at his absolute best. Off the court, he loves spending time with family and friends, sharpening his craft, and staying connected to the people who shaped him. When teammates need a moment, he’s the one who tells them to take a breath and focus on the task at hand. “Be you, let the game come to you” is the steady pulse he brings to the locker room and the floor. He loves this game, loves his people, and plays with purpose that can’t be taught.

Jason brings a blend of strength, defensive pride, and explosive scoring ability that college programs value. His 3 and D versatility allows him to impact games in multiple ways, and his consistent high energy fits seamlessly into systems that demand toughness and discipline. He’s a two-way guard who plays with passion and delivers in big moments. He will find immediate value in him, especially when he’s shooting the ball the way he did against John Brown.

As Jason continues to add a back-to-the-basket game and expand his offensive arsenal, he will become a complete scoring threat who can take over at all three levels. His defensive growth shows maturity, and his leadership instincts are already strong. Expect him to keep rising, keep producing, and keep stacking the kind of high-impact performances that fuel Central Baptist’s push toward Kansas City in March. His best basketball is still ahead, and his junior season is shaping into something special.
