AAU: TN Flight Trotters

Every time Carter steps onto the court, she brings a relentless drive that refuses to let her settle for average. Skill, basketball IQ, and athletic ability have all played a major role in her rise, but she believes those qualities only take a player so far. What truly separates her is the mindset she has developed. Carter has embraced the challenge of becoming comfortable being uncomfortable, pushing herself beyond her limits every time she trains. That competitive edge has helped shape her into one of Tennessee's most complete players, combining scoring, rebounding, defense, toughness, and leadership into an exciting all-around game that impacts every possession.

Her junior season was the perfect example of what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Carter averaged 20.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game while earning Big East Player of the Year for the second straight season, All-State honors, a Tennessee Miss Basketball nomination, and finishing as the fifth-ranked combo guard in the state. Every accomplishment served as proof that the countless hours of work during the offseason were paying off. She credits much of her success to living in the gym and making recovery just as important as training. Whether she was putting in work at E3 Elite Vertimax, Tri Star Strength & Rehab, or making recovery a priority at Biostaxx, every workout, every drill, and every recovery session helped her stay healthy, consistent, and ready to perform at a high level throughout the year.

That momentum has carried right into AAU with the Tennessee Flight Trotters. The summer has already been filled with success after winning the AAU State Championship and their first live period tournament. Surrounded by teammates who share the same work ethic and goals, Carter has enjoyed competing along with a talented group that continues to push one another every day. With Run 4 Roses in Louisville still ahead, she is excited for one final AAU run and the opportunity to compete in front of the college coaches she has been building relationships with throughout the recruiting process.

One of the biggest reasons for her continued growth has been the mentality she has developed over the last year. Learning to play with more toughness has elevated every part of her game. Becoming stronger and faster has allowed her to attack inside with more confidence, battle through contact, and become an even more dominant rebounder. That physical growth led to one of her favorite accomplishments of the season when she set the single-season school rebounding record with a jaw-dropping 18 rebounds in one game. Add in back-to-back conference Player of the Year awards, All-State recognition, a Tennessee Miss Basketball nomination, and recognition as one of the top combo guards in Tennessee, and it becomes clear just how much her hard work has transformed her game. She is also proud to be recognized by Next Level Sports among the state's top talent, even when compared with both girls' and boys' basketball.

Adversity became another valuable teacher throughout the season. Like every athlete, Carter learned that injuries are simply part of the game, especially during a long season that demands so much physically. Instead of allowing those challenges to slow her down, she learned the importance of taking care of her body through conditioning, strength training, and recovery. Those lessons have become a major part of her daily routine and will continue to benefit her as she prepares for basketball at the next level.

The work never stops once the lights go out. Carter spends three to four days each week elevating her ball-handling and fine-tuning her jump shot while also dedicating another three to four days to strength training and plyometric work. Recovery remains just as important, making regular visits to Biostaxx another key part of her routine. Every workout has a purpose because every rep brings her one step closer to the goals she has set for herself.

Carter's goals are to finish her AAU career by competing for the E40 Championship before turning her full attention toward her senior season. Her sights are set on conference and district championships, winning that elusive first region championship, and leading her team to the state tournament at the Glass House for the first time in her career. At the same time, every workout is preparing her body for the demands of college basketball and the next chapter waiting beyond high school.

The biggest stages bring out some of her best basketball. Carter enjoys matching up against highly ranked players because every battle becomes another opportunity to measure herself against elite competition while discovering new ways to improve. Those games sharpen her focus and raise her intensity even higher. She may never be the flashiest player on the floor, but her impact always finds a way to show up. Coaches have often told her they don't fully appreciate everything she does until they watch the film or look at the stat sheet and realize she quietly filled it up with double-doubles, triple-doubles, and winning plays that changed the outcome of the game. Every time she steps on the court, coaches know they will get maximum effort, relentless competitiveness, and a player committed to doing whatever it takes to help her team win.

As her senior season approaches, Carter believes the best version of herself is still ahead. Expect to see a stronger, faster, more confident competitor playing with an even more edge than ever before. With her relentless work ethic, complete skill set, and determination to keep raising the standard, she is prepared to make her final high school season her most memorable yet.

Carter has developed into a dynamic all-around playmaker whose impact goes far beyond scoring. She rebounds at a high level, defends with intensity, creates extra possessions, competes with toughness, and consistently makes winning plays that don't always grab headlines. Her commitment to constant improvement, combined with her physical development and basketball IQ, makes her one of the most complete players in her class.

Carter's value comes from doing everything needed to help a team win. She combines production, consistency, toughness, and leadership while embracing the biggest challenges instead of avoiding them. With another offseason dedicated to becoming stronger and faster, along with the mindset to continue pushing beyond her comfort zone, expect Carter to elevate every part of her game once again and position herself for an outstanding senior season and a successful future at the next level. Stay tuned.
