Some point guards simply bring the ball up the floor, but Zane controls the entire flow of the game. The crafty lefty floor general plays with pace, confidence, vision, and a nonstop competitive edge. One minute, he’s slicing into the paint and dropping a dime right on target. The next, he’s pulling from deep range and completely flipping the energy inside the gym with one shot.

Zane describes himself as the type of guard who will always put the ball in the right player’s hands at the right time. That mentality is what separates him from a lot of guards his age because he understands how to run a team, keep everybody involved, and still know exactly when it’s time for him to take over offensively.

When his jumper catches fire, things can get dangerous quickly. One of the biggest moments that had people talking came during his electric performance against Team Succeed, where Zane completely exploded from deep and rained in 7 triples. It was one of those performances where every shot leaving his hands looked automatic, and defenders simply had no answer. For Zane, that moment wasn’t luck. It was preparation finally colliding with confidence after countless hours of work behind the scenes. Once he found his rhythm that day, he knew he was locked into one of those zones where everything felt automatic, and the rim suddenly looked enormous.

What makes Zane even tougher to defend now is how much his offensive game has expanded from high school season into AAU. The biggest realization for him came when he saw himself scoring efficiently at all three levels while still leading his team in assists. That balance between scorer and facilitator has added another dangerous layer to his game because defenses can’t simply focus on stopping the jumper anymore. If defenders extend too far, he’s already attacking gaps, creating opportunities for teammates, or finding another way to punish defenses.

His unlimited shooting range remains one of the most exciting parts of his game because Zane loves stretching defenses and forcing opponents to guard him well beyond the arc. Anytime a guard can create that kind of perimeter pressure while still controlling the offense as a playmaker, it changes everything for a defense trying to stay organized.

The road wasn’t perfectly smooth this past year either. During his junior season, Zane battled through an ankle injury that could’ve easily slowed him down mentally and physically. Instead of allowing it to become an excuse, he continued working both on and off the court while doing everything possible to continue helping his team. That toughness says a lot about his character because many players struggle mentally once injuries start interfering with rhythm and confidence. Zane refused to let it hold him back.

Now running with FYN 17 on the Puma Circuit, Zane continues building momentum heading deeper into the AAU season and live period. The confidence keeps climbing, the offensive bag keeps expanding, and his leadership continues standing out every time he steps on the floor. Each weekend is becoming another opportunity to prove why his name deserves more attention among guards in his class.

When coaches come watch Zane, they’re going to see a true floor general that competes relentlessly on both ends of the floor and never lets up. They’re getting a player that creates opportunities for teammates, stretches defenses with deep shooting, embraces leadership, and plays with toughness every possession. Most importantly, they’re getting somebody that understands how to impact winning in multiple ways every single night.

I assess that Zane is a skilled left-handed point guard with deep shooting range, strong vision, and the ability to completely control offensive flow. His combination of playmaking and scoring creates difficult matchup problems because he can hurt defenses as both a passer and a shot-maker. Add in his toughness, pace, and competitive edge, and he becomes a guard capable of changing momentum quickly.

Zane’s confidence, IQ, and offensive versatility continue pushing his game higher. His ability to score efficiently at all three levels while also leading teammates and facilitating offense gives him tremendous value moving forward. The way he battled through injury while continuing to compete says a lot about his mentality and toughness. As he continues to add strength and experience against high-level competition on the Puma Circuit, Zane has the tools to become a very intriguing guard prospect at the next level. Stay tuned.
