Miles is an explosive point guard with nasty ball-handling abilities with blow-by speed. Miles enjoys putting defenders on skates and attacking the lane. But Miles has unlimited range from outside .. Miles can also make dazzling passes and is a scrappy defender who's gritty and tough on the ball handler, disrupting the offensive flow. Miles plays with a confident swagger on both ends of the court, and his skills earned him the starting point guard role on the varsity team as a freshman. Miles is all about control and impact, with a natural ability to drive the offense, handle pressure, and make the right plays when it counts. Miles' strengths are his vision, ball handling, and on-ball defense. This season, Miles is focused on improving his range from beyond the arc and becoming more unpredictable in his offensive reads. Miles is going to be some trouble for opposing guards from the tip this upcoming season.

Starting on varsity as a freshman at team camp this summer is definitely Miles' biggest accomplishment so far. Before that, Miles earned MVP in several tournaments and had some strong performances in camps, but this feels like the real start of what he wants to accomplish in high school.

Outside of basketball, Miles enjoys hanging with friends, studying the game, and playing video games to relax. Miles also likes learning about player psychology and watching film to pick up details that he can apply to his own game.

Since last season, Miles' biggest improvement has been his overall game control and decision-making under pressure. Miles has put a lot of work into his strength and speed, which have helped him adapt to the physicality of varsity play. Miles also sees the floor better and makes quicker reads.

Miles' goals for this upcoming season are to lead the team in assists, control the tempo, and help them win at the highest level. Miles wants to prove that he can handle the responsibility of a starting varsity point guard, even as a freshman. The biggest challenge will be keeping his consistency and stepping up in close games, especially against teams with more experience. Miles is most excited for their matchup with border rivals, Warren Co. They’re a solid team with great coaching around them, and Miles wants to prove he belongs out there as a freshman. They also face some challenging games early in our schedule against some larger schools based out of Murfreesboro and Nashville. Games like that show them where they stand and help prepare them for even bigger challenges.

Miles believes they have what it takes to make a deep tournament run. Miles feels his team has the skills and chemistry, and they are already pushing each other every day. To get there, they will need focus, discipline, and the kind of intensity that lasts all season long. Miles believes they can surprise a lot of people.

What fires Miles up most is when they are in a tight game, and he makes a play that gives them the edge, like a big assist or a defensive stop. Miles loves hearing the crowd’s energy and knowing he has made an impact when it matters.

When I face adversity, Miles stays focused on his job and controls the things he can. Miles doesn’t let mistakes get to him – instead, he tries to find ways to turn the situation around. Miles understands that staying calm and steady is critical to his team's confidence, so he tries to lead by example.

The best advice Miles has received is to always “play with a purpose.” Every game and every practice is a chance to improve, so he reminds himself of what he is working for and pushes himself to play with intention.

Miles isn't focused on any division level right now but only focused on proving he belongs as a starter on this varsity team and leading them well. His thoughts are if he stays locked in and gets better with each passing game the rest will take care of itself.. Miles is hungry and playing with a chip on his shoulder that he has a lot to prove on the high school level after being a middle school phenom. Miles will leave that predicting-level stuff to guys like me while he just works.

I think Miles will lead them well and adjust to high school just fine. He is a hard-working, determined young star who wants to earn his way just like he always has. Miles is a fierce competitor, and that trait will always drive him. Miles loves to win cause he possesses a winner mentality and has done just that every place he played. Miles is a high-level talent and still growing into his potential, and he has a chance to be more special than any kid we have seen in this region of the state in many years when it's all said and done. Miles is an unbelievable talent that thrives even on the biggest of stages. Yall keep a natural close eye and mark my words Miles Alexander is going to be a name to remember as the "Prodigy" is playing on a new stage but the expectations and excitement have come right along with him. Stay tuned!!
