Alcoa HS, TN

Jay is a versatile, explosive three-level scorer with silky-smooth touch beyond the arc and a killer mid-range game, he’s more than just a scorer, he’s a menace. In the paint, Jay becomes a ruthless punisher, throwing down violent rim-rattling dunks that send a clear message. Whether he’s catching lobs or facing up and bullying defenders to the basket, he makes his presence felt every trip down the floor. His basketball IQ is off the charts, threading tight-window passes with flash and precision. He rebounds with a physical edge and defends with an intensity that makes him dangerous on both ends. At 6’6, Jay is a matchup nightmare: too skilled for bigs, too powerful for guards, and too smart to be caught out of position.

Averaging 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, Jay’s numbers only tell part of the story. His biggest improvement from last season has come in his strength and ability to finish through contact. This offseason, he’s attacking his ball-handling development, pushing to become even more dangerous in space and under pressure. His mindset is relentless: the game isn’t over until the final buzzer, and that fuels every possession. His motor gets turned all the way up when it’s time to dunk, and he lives for those momentum-shifting, backboard-rattling plays.

Jay plays for TN Impact on the 3SSB Circuit, where the spotlight burns brighter, and the competition only sharpens his edge. With goals to dominate each stop and raise his scoring ceiling, he's using this AAU season to stretch his game and draw next-level attention. Off the court, Jay is focused, hungry, and locked in on continuing to grow, compete, and win.

I assess that Jay’s blend of size, strength, and skill gives him elite potential as a versatile forward at the next level. His court vision, ability to score inside and out, and defensive presence make him a plug-and-play asset for college programs looking for a physical wing with a high ceiling. His commitment to getting stronger and improving his handle shows he’s not satisfied, he’s working to be unstoppable.

Expect Jay to keep climbing. As his handle tightens and he adds more tools to his offensive game, his versatility will explode. He’s already a physical mismatch and explosive scorer, what’s coming next is a complete player who can dominate from tip to buzzer. With continued development, Jay has the tools and motor to become a star at the next level. Stay tuned.
