Eaton HS, CO

Tyler is already showing why the future is bright. The freshman plays with confidence, unselfishness, and a steady approach that allows him to impact the game in multiple ways. He sees himself as a playmaker first, someone who can create off the bounce, aim in shots from behind the arc, and make the right play when the moment calls for it. Every time he steps onto the court, his goal is to give his best effort, compete every possession, and help his team in any way possible. That mindset has become the foundation of a game that continues to grow with every opportunity.

Basketball has always been about more than just the games for Tyler. He has played alongside many of his Eaton teammates since kindergarten, building chemistry that has lasted through the years while being coached by their fathers along the way. Those relationships have helped shape the trust and togetherness this group now plays with. During the summer, Tyler has also competed with State 38, giving him another chance to continue developing against good competition. One of the proudest moments of his young career came this summer when he earned the opportunity to be part of Eaton's varsity team. It was a reminder that the hard work was paying off and another step toward becoming the player he wants to be.

The biggest improvements in Tyler's game have come through his ball handling, his quicker first step, and adding a more confident step-back shot to his offensive arsenal. Those improvements have opened more scoring opportunities while making him tougher to defend. His biggest challenge has been adjusting to the physicality of older and stronger players. Instead of allowing that to discourage him, Tyler has embraced the challenge and continues using every practice and every game as another chance to grow stronger and more confident.

Faith plays an important role in Tyler's journey both on and off the court. He reminds himself that God is always in control and that there is something much bigger than basketball. That perspective helps him stay grounded, continue working hard, and enjoy the journey one day at a time.

The behind-the-scenes work continues to push Tyler forward. Daily ball-handling drills, shooting workouts, and time in the weight room have become part of his routine as he works to become stronger and more complete. He also spends time watching other players and teams, studying the game and learning new ways to improve. That willingness to learn has helped him develop a better understanding of the game while adding new tools to his skill set.

Colorado Live gave Tyler and his teammates another boost of confidence. The weekend showed them they can compete with anyone, regardless of school size or reputation. It reinforced the belief that this group is capable of playing with bigger schools and continuing to grow together. Looking ahead, Tyler plans to continue competing in AAU while chasing his dream of playing college basketball. Every experience is another opportunity to improve and prepare for what comes next.

Every coach can expect Tyler to give everything he has every time he steps onto the floor. His intensity never changes, and neither does his willingness to learn, compete, and put the team first. As Eaton continues building toward another exciting season, expect Tyler to keep growing, keep improving, and continue earning a bigger role. With his combination of size, playmaking ability, work ethic, and team-first attitude, his future is headed in the right direction.

I assess that Tyler is a versatile young guard whose ability to create off the dribble, shoot from the perimeter, and make plays for others gives him a strong foundation. His willingness to compete, improve, and embrace coaching has already boosted his development. As he continues to add strength and experience, his game will continue to take important steps forward.

Tyler brings confidence, intensity, and a steady approach every time he steps on the court. He continues to expand his skill set through daily work while staying grounded in his faith and commitment to the team. With his size, improving offensive game, and desire to keep learning, Tyler is a rising young player whose best basketball is still ahead. Stay tuned.
